In 1934, a cottage on the West Indian island of Grenada was gripped by horrific unexplained activity: creepy noises, stone-throwing, and the sinister appearance of a ghostly apparition. What followed were tremendous poltergeist phenomena which, ultimately, culminated in a mysterious fire. In the decades since, various explanations have been put forward, including that of witchcraft and how a curse may have been placed on the Lowther’s Lane house and its occupants by a revengeful Obeah-man…

Loved the video! Although, I do seem to remember a similar case on Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World in the 80's! This happened in England and they even had police officers stationed near some of the houses to catch any miscreants throwing stones! The stones continued to fall and not one person was apprehended!! Can't remember exactly where in England as I was 10 at the time and it was a long time ago!! Lol!!

@@rachellaurent4394 witchcraft isn't scary or alarming once you take the time to understand it. there is SOOO much more to it than spells and pentagrams. There are several different types of witches. And like Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, there are people who truly use it for good and there are others who use it for darker purposes, like the manipulation and control of others,etc. Spells should ONLY be cast when you have cleansed yourself of negative emotions, due to the rule of threes. One of my co-workers was a pagan and another is a witch. Both are the sweetest people you will ever meet. Their energy is always so peaceful and wise. Have a fantastic day!!!

And I'm trying to remember the details of an Australian case which was quite a sensation in its day. Very similar, stones falling, even down to the locals turning out and journalists. Found it, the Guyra Ghost (Guyra a town in New South Wales), 1921, 12 year girl Minnie Bowen, never found an explanation but very similar to so many other cases such as the one covered in this excellent video.

I used to stay in a house in London that was haunted, before I experienced this I was a sceptic, and I firmly believe that because I was in a bad place personally, whatever the thing was was feeding on my turmoil, I ended up needing to take a mirror out of the bathroom because everytime I used to go pee there was a shadow figure standing behind me and was visible in that mirror, my family members would sense it also and eventually would not come back to visit me , thank God I moved out .Afterwards I heard that the whole block was historically haunted, creepy stuff , anyway Laura thanks for all you do pal .

I have seen, felt and heard spirits since I was little. I have sensed their presence and even been touched. 99% of the time they are good spirits some being loved ones. Every few years when I’m sleeping I’m woken seconds b4 an evil spirit touches me. I recite The Lord’s Prayer over and over until I fall back to sleep. I sleep with a lamp on at night if I sense mischievous spirit or was touched by an evil one. It takes a few days b4 I can go back to sleep w/o it. My first memory of a spirit was when I was 4. I asked my mother if someone died in our home. (The home was built just after WWII & the previous owner was the original. ) My mother first said no one died but I kept asking. I was persistent & after awhile my mother told me, yes, a lady died of “old age.” I then told my mum that the old lady lived in our attic, looks down, & watches over me. That’s just a small snippet of what has happened to me.

I would love to hear more of the spirits or your stories with them, if they tell you about themselves, or things you've experienced with them. Is it scary on the otherside for them? Are the bad spirits bad people in life? You don't have to answer, and sorry if I'm being too noisy! I think I'd have a panic attack if I seen a spirit, but it's incredibly fascinating hearing other's experiences. Take care and Stay Safe Stranger!

Yes, that theory is almost ancient and very well known. Of course, with “excess [.] mental energy” being undefined and thus essentially meaningless, there’s a long way to go before any of this can be truly validated and comprehended. That is, provided an actual link exists.

Here it is quite obvious that when you speak of Obeya (sic) or Voudun it is done with respect to those belief systems and practices. This is a very rare in the world of those with judeo-christian beliefs not that I say you have them I'm saying that all too often respect and neutral attribution is giving these... I’m an American of Irish decent born and raised in the 2nd largest Haitian community in the US, Flatbush Brooklyn. I’m a Catholic, but I’ve seen enough strange things I can’t explain growing up with Haitians to know to keep a healthy fear of Voodoo. I know this happening was in Grenade, but they’re all African practices going back thousands of years, if not from unbroken from ancient times, that came to the West Indian Islands with the Africans. They’re called different things on different islands. European colonization wiped out a good portion of the real knowledge, but don’t play with that stuff. There are still those who know what they’re doing.

I hadn’t heard about stone throwing in a while, it seems that nowadays it’s not a big thing anymore but it probably happens under other phenomena , like accompanying a whole bunch of different types of behavior entities manifest. I grew up in South Africa and remember an african lady who worked for my mom telling me a story of the village next to hers. Of a woman who was caught with someone's husband, and the wife had had her cursed. The witch doctor (Sangoma) gave her Muti to rub on stones, which she threw onto the roof of the woman's house. Minutes later the woman was screaming in agony and had to be taken to the hospital, where they operated on her and found her stomach full of stones.

I must say that would be quite the terrifying ordeal to find yourself in. Especially interesting is how the stones were able to pass through the ceiling as if “phasing” and leaving no mark or holes. As if the intended target was never actually the home, but as you said the people or person within. Also it’s actually really gratifying to hear how serious the local police and news were in taking the whole event seriously. In nearly every paranormal event it’s customary for that to be almost a completely useless gesture to even contact the police. As they work on sheer facts and proof. Which this case had to be seen during for any proof to be experienced. A very intriguing story Ms Laura! As you always do bring. In my history of anything paranormal the only stone throwing events were attributed to The Bigfoot or Sasquatch. And those were boulders! I’d have to think very hard to actually pick which I’d have to endure! At least the boulders weren’t able to phase through the walls. I don’t know how you find these, but please don’t stop! 👏👏👏👏👏

In the Caribbean witchcraft and the paranormal are a part of everyone’s lives. The police, government & everyone else believe it because we have seen it. Our land holds a lot of dark history and a lot of spiritual history too

My thoughts too on the Bigfoot link. I'm inclined to think that certain parts of the scientific community could shine a light on these stone 'throwing' occurrences. Research into gravity and interdimensionality has gone on for many decades. I still believe that Bigfoot etc. are charged with the responsibility of keeping humans 'under control' in areas that might 'damage their health'. Only a guess of course...

I think that the government should study these entities. I know they exist. I saw one once, and actually observed it for several minutes. And I watched it moved items. When I went outside where it had been, after I was brave enough to leave, and I walked past where it had been, sure enough, the door it had opened was still opened. I realized I wasn't imagining it.

Perception is a funny thing. A great many witnesses of such entities aren’t actually seeing anything external at all, but rather an internally generated narrative. I’m not dismissing all these experiences, as some have considerable evidence and multiple witnesses which makes them more difficult to explain away. Don’t forget that when individuals hallucinate they often can’t distinguish it from reality.

I can see Laura being the voice behind a Jarvis like AI program that is an omniscient entity that guides a superhero or supervillain in their pursuits. I would hire her to voice any wise, divine type character. I wish she would do sleep stories about different paranormal events that don’t have mid roll ads… Who’s with me? Maybe we can convince her to start a new channel for sleep stories!

Could these stones have been hail? A weather phenomenon they were unfamiliar with?
@LucianCorrvinus
@LucianCorrvinus Жыл бұрын
I would think that would be highly unlikely although not outside the realm of possibilities as it remains not improving both of those things. But again it would be unusual because hail being a meteorological affect it moves and usually doesn't stay in one place unless there are circumstances that govern that very unique and unusual to the point of being almost unheard of..
