Jeff Bridges has done a lot of good work in the last 10-12 yrs. I am very impressed - loved the movie. John Goodman, I have always loved his movies. John is a very good actor , O brother, where art thou ! John goodman stole the show - lol !

I’m probably looking too deeply into this. But the dude obviously avoids everyday problems and takes it easy, even when the barman brings up Donnie’s passing. He talks about it very briefly and purposefully turns his attention towards Sam Elliott. Even when someone dies, he’s still taking it easy

Watch the movie for the third time or so and you’ll see that during most of the movie, the Dude is pissed off, annoyed, anything but abiding. It’s one of the Coen twists that make these movies so watchable.

I'm sure that everyone here knows the story of how the Coens made Sam do this scene over and over simply because they loved Sam's monologue and just wanted to hear it again and again. What a great film! I highly recommend that you all watch "The Big Sleep" with Bogart and Bacall. Hell, you all know that.

I'd like to think the Dude did get paid once all this was over. I mean Maude, despite her eccentric nature did seem to really like him. And in the end, she did technically promise him 100k. I mean after everything he did for her and everything that did in fact happen, I like to think she liked him enough to keep that part of her word. But that's just like.... my opinion, man.

The blessing of a weird old cowboy to the laziest man alive. A weird blessing that I received. A millennial slacker who impressed a Montana rancher by getting $300 from poker. The rancher was pissed, but he did envy my lazy lifestyle and good luck at the cards. I hope he found his retirement. And I hope to play another round of dealer's choice with him in the hereafter.

I have watched this scene dozens of times and not one time did I ever feel bored. Hats off to the actors, director and scriptwriter. The Big Lebowski is by far one of the best comedy movies I have ever watched.

Probably the most profound scene in the movie. For he who doesn't shoot at all, doesn't miss the target before him. The root of the word "sin" is "to miss". It was originally an archery term.
