The Giant’s Causeway

Starting the day from Finn McCool’s, Sundance and I explore the extraordinary coastal site known as the Giant’s Causeway. Wild winds, roaring surf, basalt crystal formations, birds, bugs, and more make for a fantastic experience. The afternoon holds a tour at the Old Bushmills Distillery and quick resupply in town.

Lovely to meet you both at the Distillery. Very happy to squeeze you onto the tour. Stay safe. PS We call that gorse with the yellow flowers "whins". As children we used it to boil eggs along with the flowers at Easter to turn them yellow before rolling them down a hill to smash them open.

Wonderful! Giants Causeway has always been on my “to see” list and I read in Cicerone PCT guide book that there are basalt lava columns on PCT too, the Devil’s Postpile at Reds Meadows. 😊 Incredible geology on that Northern Ireland coastline. Thanks for sharing, Huck 😊
