Historically women weren't this coddled and if you've talked to much older women they'd be disgusted by this too. The issue is that we've had women in arrested development defining what "being feminine" is for far too long, we're not allowed to teach daughters hardship. Just notice the discussions about female athletes being pushed since they were children while this is way more common with male athletes, nobody cares.

The case of the failed women-only workplace experiment Erin described was particularly striking. The odd thing is that men-only workplaces, of which there have been thousands in the past, seem to have worked fine, as do many (not all) mixed workplaces like the one I work in.

The idea that adversity is good for people needs to be qualified and carefully considered. The type of adversity spoken of in this video when experienced by someone who is emotionally stable and psychologically mature will produce resilience. However the type of Trauma that leads to psychological immaturity (arrested development) is relational and happens very early in life starting at infancy. This type of trauma is persistent and pervasive. It continues into young adulthood until the individual can break free from their abusers. It is not a singular event but a chronic atmosphere of fear, rejection, humiliation, torture, physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or objectification. It is the systemic destruction of a child’s sense of self, safety and reality. When children are abused, neglected or exploited by their parents it is a type of trauma that alters their developmental trajectory. Many people never recover and suffer with life long incurable psychological disorders such as NPD, BPD, HPD, and ASPD. Torturing children doesn’t make them stronger people it makes them crazy.
@michaeljensen4650
@michaeljensen4650 2 ай бұрын
This is the danger of listening to people who are not psychiatrists or psychologists and do not have any education or formal training in developmental psychology and trauma. You get bad advice. Resilience, empathy and emotional self-regulation are learned in early in life. These are traits which are modeled by good enough parents. Good enough parents don’t abuse or exploit their children and facilitate the emergence of the child’s developing self. They do not interfere consciously or unconsciously in the healthy progression of their child’s psychological development. This allows the child to learn from loss, difficulty, disappointment and frustration. They develop empathy and resilience. If a child is traumatized and emotionally dysregulated it will interfere with their ability to learn from their mistakes and losses. If the adults around them do not model healthy behavior then they have no template or example to draw from.

The ancient Greeks knew this and articulated it clearly. Women were considered 'forever children ' and thus were not allowed to make major decisions for society. Sad but true. PS - I would like to add that some contemporary cultures, such as Japan, willingly push and promote the female immaturity concept: they call it Kawaii. - where even middle aged women act as cutesy teenagers. It's very weird.

To be an adult is to take responsability for your words and actions. I found that more often then not a lot of women do not take any responsability at all, instead they blame it on any other reason (mostly men) if anything has any consequences. Women tend to bring personal issues (what is called 'feelings') onto for example the workfloor. "I feel like my boss isn't treating me right" , anything that starts out with "I feel" tends to become an issue further down the road. Men don't respond, or don't know exactly how to react to them, to the phrases that start with that. If a woman makes a mistake and someone says something about it, she'll respond to how she feels instead of owning up to the mistake. I believe very strongly that a lot of women (mind you, not all) can't take any criticism on their actions or words. And that's how a child responds, immature.

Great topic. Wounded women raise wounded children, Males particularly are vunerable with their extra aggressive characteristic. The "need to bond to survive" causes the infant to sculpt himself to what she has left available - often very little - with life long adverse personality effects. Every toxic male has one thing in common - a mother. Healthy mature mothers bring up healthy respectful males. If society wants fewer toxic males, healthy mothers play probably a big part.

A lot of the immature traits Erin describes are related to neuroticism, and some, like manipulating others and the inability to take criticism, start to look like narcissism. However, recent changes in society, particularly the celebration of individuality above other qualities, and the rise of a popular psychology that medicalises everything, reinforce immature behaviours in our race to embrace diversity. Moreover, the rise of social media, with its relentless focus on appearances above thoughtfulness and other desirable traits, makes it attractive for some women to want to live in perpetual maidenhood - and of course for some men to want to live in perpetual boyhood, chasing the perpetual maidens.

The older they get the worse it becomes because it's not like they are staying celibate in this culture. The problem of course is that the things men value in women are culturally frowned upon. They expect men to be ok with high body counts because they often won't ask a woman out of fear of being disgusted. When it slips out later that she was wild in college with a triple digit number from a vindictive woman who was her enemy. The whole house of cards comes crashing down. I don't see this problem getting fixed if anything I see it getting worse. All society seems to do is perpetually excuse the bad behavior of women while continually trying to shame men onto the plantation of subservience to women whom cannot hold a candle to the women of previous generations before feminism and social media poisoned the well

I think woman do actually mature faster in the early stages of life up to 18 y.o, then man start to mature faster while most women get stuck on that phase for almost 10 years. By the age of 25 man have suffered a lot more and realised that nobody will come to save you if you don't do it yourself while most women still think a prince charming will come and save them. By the age of 30 the different in maturity of man vs women is at the highest point, at this stage if a woman has not achieved anything in life she will blame everybody else for her problems (man, the state, God, etc) and if she achieved some goals she will accept her reality and be happy with what life is. As a woman who got married “early” (at 22) and had a child “early” (at 24), I always struggled with the image of 20-year-olds (females AND males) being fun, outgoing, youthful, and… promiscuous. I felt so inadequate to find love and build a family so “early.” Again, I take this word in quotation marks because this would not be considered early in the generation of my grandmother (who was also highly educated, worked as a doctor, yet created a family with a child by 25). Most of my female friends were going from dates to dates, while I was breastfeeding my first child… it felt so lonely. As if I was somehow a divination.

Being fun outgoing and youthful is..bad? Lol what are u even saying? Not everyone wants the same thing, and if ur life feels fulfilling staying at home and breastfeeding then good for u, have at it, other people wanna party and travel the world, what's wrong with that? And 22 is indeed young, it wouldn't be considered too young in other generations because the life expectancy was lower, but perspectives shift according to priority and societal dynamics also shifting. Nowadays it's absolutely too young as the typical 22 year old is barely out of college, broke, looking for a job, just starting their life out, and so many other factors, so why the rush? That just generally wouldn't work well nowadays but if it did for u then good for u

Women in general are more tactical and short-sighted. Men on the other hand generally tend to be more strategic and long-sighted in their approach. If you can understand this and collaborate, it can work wonders; but if you tear each other down, then obviously it will be a disaster - which is what's happening nowadays.

All male workspaces are the least toxic you can be in. Minimal interpersonal drama, and everyone intuitively fills roles to be the most efficient they can. Whenever there is any drama, its about men competing to be the best at the task at hand. This is something that women have a hard time comprehending, which is why they often will conjure interpersonal drama at workplaces in the attempt to create an atmosphere of "emotional affirmation", which is something that doesn't register in the mind of a healthy man while at work.

A women told me that a woman is by default at war with herself. A man cannot fix that. It is best to just leave women totally alone. Women used to teach their daughters how to love their husbands. The love I am talking about is a VERB. A man loves as a noun and a verb by creation. A woman cannot love at all as a noun. A woman lives honestly like a ten year old no matter what age she becomes. She lives by this: "A woman has the RIGHT to change her mind, about anything, at any time, for any reason, as many times as she wants to." The best way to keep a prisoner from escaping is to make sure he never knows he's in prison.

Crone or Wise Woman (Winter) - the elder who offers wisdom to her family and community. She takes less of a leadership role than you might see in the Matriarch

Maturity requires personal accountability, struggle, and humility. In a gynocentroc environment when chivalric practices shield women from risk, consequences, and reality, you'll find an over-representation of toxic personality traits the further you travel down the "victim" latter: entitlement, scapegoating, deception, etc. I recommend Karen Straughan's KZbin videos on neotony and hypoagency.

Women of most ages and backgrounds these days are extremely immature. I remember back in the late 2000s to early 2010s one of the phrases you would always hear in real life and in media were "you can't hit a girl!" Or "She can't do anything wrong because she's a girl" along with Women displaying violence towards Men in media where it would be portrayed as a form of comedy. The lack of accountability in this sense is what has partially lead to what we are seeing today. Overly masculine and competitive modern Women that again refuse to take accountability because most grew up in a society that was fueled by encouragement from media to "let her get away with it because she's a Woman" and cheer on when a Woman does something violent that threatens the safety of a Man and/or another Woman. In conclusion, media is one of the things responsible for modern day influences, societal psychological damage, and stereotypes that have created division and recklessness. Don't even get me started with the reduction of food quality, which I believe has an impact on hormones and one's mental state.

Women are extremely tribal. This can be a positive in that it causes them to be very nurturing to those within their “tribe”. But if you are a member of the out-group or if you get on their bad side, they do not have the ability to be objective anymore. They think with their emotions and that is just how it is. Women are amazing, but not many of them should be in leadership positions at work. There are exceptions though. I’ve worked with a small handful of great female leaders 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@EatWithBadlands Sad but true. I have 2 friends who have wonderful (personality-wise) girlfriends; both are overweight and probably wouldn't win any beauty contests, but they're super chill, funny, they get along with everyone, they take honest criticism without getting super emotional or offended, there's no drama despite there being the obvious potential for it, and they've honestly earned my respect for it. If I ever had to get married, I would 100% take a mid-looking girlfriend with a sensible personality and sense of humor over any 10 out of 10 who is also likely an emotional trainwreck and cannot survive without causing stress and drama everywhere they go.

You hit the nail on the head with this video. My biggest issue with the way modern women carry themselves is that they refuse to look in the mirror and take responsibility for their actions. They don’t not try to compromise or understand what a real feminine woman is and try to live as such. It’s all about trying to prove that they can do better than men, which is the opposite of what a woman is. When life is comfortable and too easy we as humans get lazy and everything falls apart. Hardships strengthens humanity and provides us with valuable lessons. Both men and women balance each other but looking at modern society it doesn’t look good for the future as far as relationships. And we all know from past history that when men and women fail in balancing overall human relationship then societies tend to fall.

I remember when I was really young, like 6 or 7, whatever, my mom would take me over to all her friends houses, this was early 90s. Something I noticed that always struck me was grown adult women, sometimes in their 50s, whose homes are completely filled with dolls, toys, stuffed animals, um cute miniatures, frogs, ballerinas, ponies, dogs, beanie babies, it was always something "cute". I always wondered about this and the driving force behind it, is it like a genetic thing with women? Something to do with children? Who knows.

Actually a good sign that you’re insecure/immature is caring about whether or not other people approve of your hobbies! Jesus people want to act like all they need to know is 1 thing about someone or their interests and from there you can just extrapolate everything about them. Not every single thing is some big significant indicator of somebodies deep psyche it’s just an easy way to view the world that appeals to people lazy brains. If I chop wood I’m a man and therefore mature! If somebody likes Star Wars they are a child! I get that you said “possible” indicator but it’s literally the same logic people use to go “oh he looked suspicious/like a criminal!”. 90% of assumptions made like this are going to be wrong.

This is just my experience as a woman who does this, but it’s because it connects me with the child part of me that was loved by my parents. They loved and cherished me for just being who I was, never expecting anything from me in return. As an adult, everything always works as an exchange. The little cute things are a reminder that I was and still am worthy of love and it gives me strength to be loving even when I receive nothing in return.

Absolutely beautiful video. I love this so much. As someone who can not and will never have my own children, physically aging has always felt pointless. Why do I deserve to age when I can't be a mother? But even if I can't be a mother, mentally maturing is crucial for the health of not only myself, but the people in my life, and society. Thank you.

Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2021 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 27,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 65,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot.
