I have been meaning to try the sotts press for years especially since I have banged up, & tight shoulders. Well I only only had a pair of double 16kg bells over head standing, & tried to lower myself slowly into a squat, & wow! It was a challenge trying to keep my arms vertical as I squated butt to ground as my arms really wanted to come forward. Doing the sotts with a bottoms up bell is legit. A bottom up press with a 16kg bell is something I let my friends, & family that think they are strong try as I have never seen something that seems so simple activate everything from my grip to shoulders so well. Most people struggle just holding it static for more than 10 seconds.
