It feels so good to finally have a DC week-to-week TV show like the MCU Disney+ shows. I'm really loving The Penguin and do hope the Sofia Falcone character gets a big glow up in The Batman II and beyond.

Talking about the visuals, it's great that, despite this being a TV show, it doesn't look like The Batman on a much lower budget, but stands side by side with that movie as far as the cinematography. And I agree about Oz feeling humanized in the scenes with his mother. Those moments complement the more action-packed scenes or anything involving the growing gang war. I seriously hope that Sofia survives this series because I would LOVE to see her have a conversation with the Batman. I need to rewatch this episode.

Actually if you rewatch that scene of Oz and Sofia at the funeral where he talks about his brothers, he told Sofia that his mother died 2 years ago. Therefore, Sofia doesn't know that she's alive. Oz is a cunning fella

This is a great breakdown of this show. I didn’t see that you were following it like this (although it doesn’t surprise me)so I’ll have to go back & check out your take on the first episode. This show is absolutely perfect and if you ask me this is a fantastic way to keep rebuilding the DCU even though this particular setting (all the characters) are to be considered else world characters of the DCU. It’s just perfect for DC to do a show like this. Os is terrible human being but I’m rooting for him too!!! I totally agree with your take on everything here. He’s playing both sides and they are all upside down because of it. The story of Victor is intriguing. They’re having him stop and look at the people missing signs. That’s probably going to happen more and more. There’s going to be something deep about his background that becomes a decent part to this show

I thought this episode was phenomenal and I love the performances of Colin Farrell & Cristin Milioti like seriously I’m so hooked and excited for what’s next and I’m actually rooting for their characters to succeed.

This episode was really good. Clancy Brown was a highlight of the episode and Oz manipulating everyone was really interesting. Sophia is a bit more human in this episode and I love Victor. The tense standoff near the end was great and Oz is charming.

I haven’t seen it yet, not sure if I’m going to. I didn’t like the first and the second didn’t really appeal to me unfortunately. I might decide to watch it if I have a quiet evening maybe.
