Again so fucking true. As an estp my biggest problem in life is constantly changing what i want because i have litterally no clue what i want. And then i know and then i dont know, non stop on repeat for decades. So afraid for my own future that i dont know which path to follow proactivly. I can react very well but come on I need to be able to get after something I want, with a proactive plan and sticking to it. How hard can it be. But for me it is sooo boring to follow a plan. Wow. Just came out of an estp relationship and this articulated so closely my experience. I constantly spoke about the transactional nature. I refused to engage with it to the point if he got me a gift I was repulsed by it. It manifested in all sorts of ways obviously not just tangible gifts. I instinctively knew not to respond in kind and confirm his bias but it didn't seem to make any difference. If he was ever accidentally vulnerable in any way he'd recoil and distance himself and I felt at these times he was being unfaithful. He'd then come back after asserting his freedom and accuse me. Crazymaking.

@@Beyou0120 Yeah, I am an ESTP and I am guilty of this. I found myself many times with my Ex-girlfriend working through this transactional nature. However I am not sure if she as INFJ with strong avoidant tendencies and past trauma didn't somehow reinforce this. I would only 'get' authentic intimacy from her whenever I did something with her, like she loved going to 'village parties' and I just hated it, but I just went along and followed in order to get that intimacy I craved so much. But sometimes I would feel strong anger about when I like went to her place, was there for 6 hours and didn't recieve any sort of intimacy like head or whatever, and I do reckon that it's an ego thing of mine I have to work on. Obviously she's not entitled to 'please' me just because we are together, but there is also some unhealed trauma in me to the part where I just crave this confirmation to feel good about myself as I still do feel this ESTP void inside of me of not knowing what I want, but intimacy just really shut's that void down for a moment. It does feel like a sort of outlet for me, like escaping the ever-so burden of being an ESTP of not knowing what I want an constantly jumping around. I kind of enforced this breakup as I really started feeling horrible, I couldn't bear myself doing stuff with her just to get intimacy and my gut feeling was just off. Now after we are freshly broken up for about a month and I am about to move out of our shared apartment, I do feel horrible seeing her and sometimes find myself wishing we could just be intimate even though that dream is long gone. I really hope I will look back at this as a lesson as there were certain incompatibilities like certain boundaries and life goals, I didn't like the way their friends behaved, she straight up told me she feels awkward being 'horny' and all... So there are also deep avoidant tendencies in her that just wouldn't work with this relationship sadly.

I’m actually that introvert whom used to think was she was an extrovert. I used to think I was an extrovert, but because I used to engage with lot debates at the family dinner table; and was quite chatty and loud and having my mom constantly tell me that I would talk to much. It was not until that one time when my dad correct me by telling me that not only was I an introvert, but that I was very introverted -even more so than my INFJ oldest brother and my ISTJ mother. He explained to me that he very rarely saw me taking to more than one, or two people at a time; that I really enjoyed being alone and that I would only often grumble if we had to go out, that he’d never see me initiate any conversation, and that he’s only see me get chatty if people would touch on the subjects that would interested me, and that I had an extreme impatience towards small talk. My introversion was in fact confirmed when I took the MBTI test and came out as the very introverted INTP.

Yep. I get very drained being around large groups of people with no purpose other than mingling (it wears me down a lot even though I've done it). However I can also talk your ear off if it pertains to something I'm interested in or even work related. I'm also a very good public speaker (something about standing up above everyone can actually make me look very charismatic...I also have a deep loud voice that carries). My last truly big speech was when my dad died a couple years ago as I was the main speaker (it was very difficult for my mom) and I had many in the crowd both laughing and with tears in their eyes. However once I step down in a large crowd I'm responding, say very little, and want to get out of there. My responsibility may require it but I'm definitely not the same person once I'm mingling with a bunch of people.

I typed a friend as an ESTP initially but when he said he was an introvert I assumed he was an INTP like me. I still don't know. He gets a lot more done but that's largely motivated by his family as he has to look after them. He often comes up with analogies like I do but what he does physically is quite ISTP like. Super intelligent people are hard to type because they're complex and don't fall into a box easilly. When you're alone in life as an INTP, it's very easy to lose direction and will power but there's always that need to accumulate knowledge. Motivation can sometimes happen outside of yourself but it has to be persistently positive motivation for me right now because it's so easy to give up even when basic survival depends on getting things done.

Nature, not humans. You shouldn't limit humans like that, we are all so much more than our nature.

May I ask, just what you mean when you say you haven't found a female potential host you could trust yet? Trust in what regard? I'm curious:) Thanks!!

Lack of identity... The way they treat women toast and resonate. Do I assume they're good or bad interesting I don't know I can catch a vibe and tell honestly I assume they're bad until they prove otherwise
@benwong87132 жыл бұрын
You say "that's obvious" every single episode. If somebody doesn't know who you are then it isn't obvious which is why you're introducing yourself in the first place, no? If everybody knew then there would be no need, but that isn't the case. So maybe you could preface it with "for those of you who are new to the show," rather than saying "but that's obvious, right?"

I think you thought you were introverted because you are actually a verbally gifted person, and you needed to study deeply to develop your intellectual gifts. I have watched many of your videos and I really like when you focus on the science of depth psychology and personality types. I think you teach this better than others. It is very hard to do original work in this area. We need a genius to clarify much of the terminology to have it really be scientifically valid versus folk wisdom.

Okay so you do coaching I thought you did. I was looking on the site today I couldn't find the link then again I was reading about the trickster function too so maybe I didn't look thoroughly
@seabird38962 жыл бұрын
OOF the whole explanation about how fickle ESTPs are because of their Ni baby function,,, I totally resonate with this to an extent because sometimes I do find my mind changes so quick and it ticks others off 🤣 understandable. I'm so aware of it, though, so I go by "let your yes be yes, and your no be no." And if I made an error of judgement and must change my mind I have to back it up with xyz and e before I allow myself to jump ship. 95% of the time I follow through with my decisions/statements etc bc of (ironically) how consistent the bible is. God never changes etc and my womanly ESTP fickleness LOVEs how consistent and trustworthy God and his laws are lmao. However I have also developed my INFJ subconscious, who ofc has that Ni. So I'm trying my best to develop those weak ass functions an ESTP suffers from for the sake of society and my ENFP superego((''::: Anyway thank you for this video, ESPECIALLY how you don't envy ESTPs (not that anyone should envy anyone). And how you explained how much ESTPs project themselves onto others bc of their own inner fickleness 🙃🙃🙃 I need to go apologise to some people in my life, because I have done this (which has lead to conflict) and it makes me a hypocrite and I can't stand that. I love how you always enforce being humble. It's so important to me as well, humility helps you learn and grow. I'm grateful to receive these verbal flayings that test my character, because ultimately it will make me a better person. You're an absolute blessing in a society that prefers others enabling their bad decisions and morals and habits. We need people like you.
@davidpapojr85313 ай бұрын
Yes it does. ENFP yes I don't know if the other one ENFJ or not maybe Christine I don't know I can't type all the women I've been with but I know I've been with nine of J and one INFP multiple times same one and maybe I don't know I don't know the ex ISTJ I don't know that I pissed off because she tried to burn my reputation and destroy me there's definitely was some evil behind that like undermine my career sort of stuff I never I never never had an issue like that with a woman at the end where she tried so hard to destroy everything about me so

Could your description of envy vs jealousy just be your way of 'softening' your jealous tendencies? Id say lust wants what others have more for that power factor. Envy more for that control factor. Lust thinks they deserve it because they transactionally performed for it where Envy thinks they deserve it because they put it transactional work.

What would you say about the higher testosterone male ESTPs having the consequence of testosterone binding to their amygdala to disregulate the limbic system and therefore creating emotional problems. Personally I feel like my emotions are more of a synchronised orchestra and I never express emotions directly and instead choose to demonstrate my emotions through actions or artistic style performances. It often helps me move along with things more smoothly if I don’t try to discard my emotions but instead personify them through action. I usually am quite serious so comedy always helps ease the tension of my intensity.

Probably more likely to happen to them due to Fi trickster.

Testosterone makes me more calm, while simultaneously giving me more energy. Likely because to the decrease in cortisol Testosterone can cause. I’d say increasing it has helped me with my “emotional problems” (could you state what you mean by that? Your words are vague). I’ve also observed Low T dudes are some of the most cynical, angsty, and Spineless people I have dealt with.

Do note that you confuse ESTP for ENTJ, ENTJ for ENTP and ESFP for ESFJ For e.g. Donald trump is an ESTP and Andrew Tate is an ENTJ. And the actual what you think to be the quintessential se dom estp here are in fact, ESFPs. Although that wasn't complete either because you think Logan Paul is an ESTP.. WHEN HE IS AN ESFJ... Jake Paul and Connor McGregor are actual ESFPs whereas ESTPs are much darker and are easily confused with ENTJ and ISTP such as Jon Jones, Miyamato Musashi, Muzan from Demon Slayer and so on and so forth Some serious holes in your knowledge when it comes to a couple of these things. But I believe you would absolutely transform with your insights if you can remedy them, you would become a treat to listen to Do note there are two types of ESTP; ESTP SP8 and SP9 And 3 types of ESFP; ESFP SO8, SX8 and SO9 Your whole thought process of ESTP turning into clowns when they were those that would crack down on lowly behavior, these are ESFPs, friend. ESTPs are too antisocial and independent to care about society like that. That is because ESFPs are also highly masculine but more dependent on social relations. -Actual ESTP
