It's all led to this moment. Only joking, not really. The show has been a complete mess with little to none character development much beyond skin colour, sexuality, gender and disability. There has been no reason to care for anyone or any outcome. The show is one MASSIVE embarrassment!!

It turns out the first and last episodes are mostly as delivered but some reshoots were done so the middle 4, which were shockingly bad, could be cut down to two shockingly bad episodes to go along with the two shockingly bad episodes they kept.

Thing is, dwarves are supposed to be really tough. So I'd be fine with it... if it was CONSISTENT. But we don't get shots of "oh look, dwarves are REALLY tough" or "oh look, dwarves can take a lot more punishment than elves" because there's no comparisons. It just happens and it looks like someone rolled low on their attack roll. Did we see any scenes where something falls on a dwarf so he can go "ah, I'm a dwarf, I can walk it off, unlike you elves, hahaha"? Did we get her being punted across a room only so that she can spit the blood out and retort by "that might work on an elf, but I've had harder hits in my local pub after a hard day"? Methinks not.

I swear that the benchmark for writing rooms these days is their tweeting skills. These scripts, like those in much of Hollyweird recently, seem to be supposedly pithy tweets expanded poorly into dialogue. That's it. There may be a decent snippet of snark somewhere in the mix of verbal diarrhea, but it is not worth the effort of waiting for. The longer scenes were written by a consortium of people whose maximum memory is for the last 140 characters on the page. If we edit out the conversations where they tell us what we already know and the moments that make no sense and don't advance the pretense of the story, we'd be left with a tweet. Sets looked recycled from other productions. The Palace interior looked similar to the one in "Inhumans". It must be some existing building. Like a library or museum, in Reykjavik, Iceland.
