Fun fact: there’s only one person in recorded history that’s been struck by a space rock and she lived! I think it was parked in the driveway for the night, but don't worry, I'm pretty sure a museum or some other group offered more then the car for that space rock so they ended up getting it either fixed or replaced with money to spare. I really don't think we have another recorded case of it hitting a human so while it theoretically could take someone out, it very much depends on circumstance as most meteorites are really grain of sand sized or not much larger and they're only very rarely larger due to how many are turned into fine dust by the upper atmosphere, so you have a much higher chance of dying to lightning. That said, the dinosaurs really drew the short straw with that asteroid, one in a quadrillion rocks large enough to cause any real damage and it had to come at that time

Pr0n/sex addiction may be real, but within conservative/"purity" culture, there is SIGNIFICANT over/misdiagnosis used to justify/shame/"excuse" when men "get caught" watching ANY pr0n &/or cheating on their spouses/premarital or celibacy religious "expectations".
@nielsjensen41856 ай бұрын
Anything can be an addiction, anything. Literally breathing can be an addiction. How addiction works is that when you get Input X it creates Y amount of dopamine, which is the reward the brain gives itself for behaviour it likes. If you feel excessive joy over the stimuli over repeated time you build a tolerance to it and need more of X to create an equivalent Y that you can feel. This is the reason people OD. They need more of the substance to feel the same amount of Y that they did in the beginning to produce an amount of dopamine that they can actually feel. The only exception I know of is meth since that drug destroys the dopamine-producing centres of the brain over time. People who become addicted to meth are literally unable to feel happiness in anything unless it involves meth. This is the reason meth is so uniquely dangerous.

Just wanted to say as a bi person, the response to 24:23 bothered me. Bi erasure and all that. I don't know if they were straight or bi or whatever but saying they cannot be descriminated against for being queer because they’re in a heterosexual marriage just felt like a step backwards into saying everyone has to be homosexual or heterosexual. They didn't say they were a lesbian. Yes, they said "gay" but a lot of bi people will refer to themselves as gay when the specificity is irrelevant. I know it wasn't intended in a negative way but it bothered me regardless. Being in a straight relationship doesn't mean a bi person is no longer bi. They could be straight but we don't know and cannot or at least shouldn't automatically make that assumption. Edit: had referred to them using she/her pronouns but as was pointed out to me we don’t actually know

I was thinking the same thing. I reckon Click interpreted gay as meaning strictly into same sex. It probably just didn't occur to him in the moment that it could mean something else. And if that's the case, then the straight marriage would indicate a lie. I reckon that had he realised it might mean something other than homosexual (such as bi), he wouldn't have responded the way he did. So I don't think he meant to indicate that a straight marriage invalidates a bi identity. I'd chuck it up to an honest interpretive oversight on his part. Ofc. I can't know what he was thinking, but giving him the benefit of the doubt, I see this as a fairly likely explanation given his general stance when it comes LGBTQ+ matters.

@ichbinben.6 ай бұрын
Yeah, that really bothered me. There's a lot of ways in which a gay person could be in a heterosexual marriage. Maybe they're bi, or pan, or otherwise not exclusively attracted to the same gender. Maybe they got married before they realized they were gay, and they haven't gotten divorced (yet). Maybe they and their partner are somewhere on the ace/aro spectrum and married platonically, but they are at least somewhat attracted to the same gender, so they also identify as gay. Maybe they use "gay" as an umbrella term, similar to "queer" or "LGBT+". Maybe they or their partner are non binary, genderfluid, genderqueer, or trans, but because their and their partner's genders assigned at birth are different, the commenter classes them as straight. There are so many possibilities, so Click treating it as "heterosexual marriage = can't be gay" is really disappointing.

The first poster is referencing the fact that you can be diagnosed with "p-addiction" even if the only negative symptom is that it has an unhealthy emotional impact. They are missing two key things. 1. That criteria only applies to some people. Other people get the diagnosis because their addiction has gotten them fired, ruined their marriage, or even gotten them arrested. 2. If something has a serious negative impact on your emotions and you can't stop doing it then that definitely is a problem that might require treatment. I am a psychologist.

Question for you, as a professional: Wouldn't _actual_ pr0n addiction just be a specific form of a compulsive behavior? And how often is "pr0n addiction" really just part of a completely different psychological disorder, with the pr0n viewing being the activity-of-focus instead of, say, pulling out your hair or washing your hands? Edit: Something else I forgot to include: How many people with a "sex addiction" turn out to _actually_ be bipolar, and their "addiction" to sex is actually just them being in a manic-phase?

Another question I'm been curious about, if you don't mind me asking: obviously, things like drugs, p-stuff, and gambling are, to some extent, designed to activate a hormonal response that makes one addicted to it, but theoretically, could any and everything be potentially addictive? Like, if someone gets some huge adrenaline rush from putting Legos together, could they get diagnosed with a Lego addiction if it gets serious enough?

That post about the person being in a heterosexual marriage could have been bisexual, but got cyberbullied into deleting their account because they used the word gay instead of bisexual. It's super common for bi people to get a lot of bigotry for getting into a heterosexual relationship. They also specified that they were femme presenting, but didn't specify gender id. Sounds like it would be fair to assume this person could be non binary, and call themselves gay to avoid meaningless confrontations, which again leads to them being unfairly harassed for not being hyper specific about their gender and sexual orientation. Or it could have a random straight person pretending to be gay for likes. That's nothing to delete the account over though. I mean the overwhelming majority of lesbian porn is just gay for money. At least the tweet was attempting to foster awareness and acceptance. Either way relationship status doesn't determine sexuality and queer people can just call themselves gay even if they aren't strictly gay. Random people aren't just entitled to know your specific sexuality or gender identity or your relationship status. Sometimes you just be out there looking visibly gay. Not worth harassing people over.

Mobile game ads come in three major forms. FORM 1: Usually puzzle games, where an easy level is messed up by the "player" in the ad, prompting those watching the ad to think "how fucking stupid; that's easy" and downloading the game to prove it. FORM 2: Games that look great, with detailed characters and seemingly filled with action, only for you to start playing and it's a resource management sim. Ads usually feature sexily-clad women (think the sniper game with butt-jiggle dynamics) who either do not appear in the game or are a static image and do not feature in the gameplay. FORM 3: Those that have gameplay that is like shown in the ad, but each playthrough is littered with additional ads after each round (or even more frequently), while once you have done ONE thing, you either have to wait 30mins (or longer) to do something else in the game... or you can pay another £2.00 to unlock it RIGHT NOW. 24:38 Okay, I mean, obviously I didn't get to look at all the context here, but something I have seen a hell of a lot of is people completely erasing the experiences and identities of bisexual people because they're currently in a relationship that looks to them, from the outside, as being a relationship between two cishet people. In that respect, it feels pretty telling to me that the "context" isn't anything directly pointing out how she identifies, but that her marriage is "heterosexual". Not to mention, that tweet doesn't even make any claims of, well, anything? Say she is a straight woman. What about that statement is invalid? The point being made is that she, as someone who outwardly appears as a feminine cis woman, is still being caught in that kind of discrimination. And she's saying that as such, people should especially keep in mind that those who generally don't conform to those kinds of standards are definitely facing worse in less cosmopolitan places, and need solidarity. Where exactly is the bad part of that tweet again?

“Gay” was the word used. The context added is useful, in that if nothing else it points out self-applied bi/pan erasure.

@seigeengine “Queer” needs to be fully normalised as a full umbrella term, or we need something that is. I live in a very queer-accepting are with a large Native population. This results in many places (such as churches) stating support and acceptance for “LGBTQIA2S+” I feel dyslexic when I see that. We’ll never fit every identity in the acronym, so I think we need to abandon the acronym. The “progress flag” and derivatives are cute in concept, but untenable. You can’t fit everything on one flag. (Also, I’m trans and find it patronising and othering). If “gay” means everything then we need a new word for “gay”. I can’t use “lesbian” unless I’m talking to cishet people, because I’m a homosexual woman and many queers think I can be the same orientation as people of another gender. Guess I’m just a dam in Holland!

21:20 For those that need to know this, pee is not stored in the balls. Here's how it actually works: Urinary System: Kidneys: Urine is produced in the kidneys, which filter waste from the blood. Ureters: Urine travels from the kidneys to the bladder through tubes called ureters. Bladder: The bladder stores urine until it is ready to be expelled from the body. Urethra: When you urinate, urine passes from the bladder through the urethra and out of the body. Male Reproductive System: Testicles (Balls): The testicles produce sperm and testosterone. They have nothing to do with urine storage or production. Conclusion: Urine is stored in the bladder, not in the testicles. The testicles are part of the reproductive system, while the bladder is part of the urinary system.

@crowdemon_archives I'm assuming you are talking about peeing during sex or at a male's climax? I'm sure you are not forgetting about the urethra. So, with that in mind, let's assume the former. Men peeing (unintentionally) during or sex or at climax is unusual but not super rare. That issue has more to do with the "bladder neck muscle" not contracting properly or not being able to fully contract because of muscle weakness. Definitely worth a trip to the doctor if a guy is experiencing this. If this is being done intensively, then that's a kink. As long as his partner has given consent, that's their business.

Thing I hate the most about dropshipping is that 1. They usually buy off aliexpress or amazon and overprice 2. Aliexpress, Temu, Wish, ETC. all steal imagea off Amazon and Etsy and use overly cheap reproductions. While many dropshippers just get cheap stuff from aliexpress and then overprice their items, there are also a lot of original products and designs that are just stolen and cheaply produced by aliexpress and similar websites. I'm assuming this tweet is a dropshipper, but I've also seen lots of stolen things and pictures. For example, someone was selling embroidery kits with their original designs, their photos were stolen and their designs sold in all kinds of online shops that sold the kit for a fraction of the original price. Of course her kit was way more expensive, since she actually designed it, provided directions and instructions, and had quality embroidery floss.

@@TheDevilChrno Yeah, it's super annoying and even has even taken over places like Etsy. There are barely any crafters left who sell on Etsy, it's almost all Aliexpress and Amazon resellers etc. A youtuber who does historical costumes and talks about handsewing and things like that made a reproduction of a medieval dress. Woolen dress, beautiful drape, hand stitched everything, and then a picture of her in the dress (her head was cropped off in the photo) was used to sell a halloween-costume-quality copy of her dress. She bought it to show what it looked like in comparison. Terrible of course, the copy was thin polyester, had no underlayers, was stretchy when it wasn't supposed to, etc. But the price for the cheap knock off was ridiculous for what you got for it. The handmade dress is probably close to priceless, since she poured a lot of time, effort, and research into it, (250 hours of stitching x a reasonable hourly wage is really expensive) but even if you only go by the material, it's still at least 100$. The cheap dress was terrible quality but they still dared to ask 40$ for it.

21:32 I'd give the benefit of the doubt about the tweet being made in reference to the mother (nineteen) having two kids- especially toddlers, implying they're at least two to three years old. That would make the mother, seventeen or sixteen at the latest, possibly even fifteen depending on the children's ages and the gap between them. Teenage motherhood isn't child abuse (for the kids), but I'd say it does count as some form of abuse to allow literal teenagers, who are still children themselves, to have and raise kids. It's also worth noting that the circumstances of which those teenagers become parents is also a reasonable cause for investigation. It could also be in reference to the whole Mommy-Blogger stuff, which, as most of us have seen, also borders on some serious abusive territory, so op could have also been potentially referring to that, though, it's less likely.
