A Bidet! Getting a good bidet seat in the $150-$200 range can make the bathroom trips much better. You get a proper clean on your bottom and getting the seat often gives you other improvements such as seat warming, silent closing seat lid, water temp control, and even a light if you don't wanna use a light to go at night. After getting my first bidet I can't imagine going without it.

Something I don’t regret buying (last week) was a new iPhone 16 Pro. Except before I left home to collect it, my daughter - who has just started her Master’s and is travelling by train 3 hours daily - broke her phone and couldn’t access her e-ticket. So I picked up my new 16 Pro, came home, and handed it to her when she got back after her 14 hour day of commuting, lectures and studying. Because that’s what dad’s do I guess!

Two things come to mind that are worth the cost If you're into coffee, a proper flat burr grinder is absolutely worth the price and even if you aren't especially into music a good set of speakers (ideally floor standing) + amp + cables (and maybe a turntable) is often a 'buy it for life' type purchase

A personally created "saying" of mine is, "one thing worse than spending a lot of money on something is spending a lot of money and not getting what you wanted." Words to live by that have never failed me. I don't splurge, but I do spend money strategically. I have no problem buying generic or store brand canned foods and staples, but then turn around and pay a high price on expensive brand gourmet cheese. Spend the money where it actually makes a difference.

Those Roland e-drums are a great choice. Me and my son went through a number of electronic kits over a few years, starting with the cheapest Yamahas and moving up to the Rolands (I think a slightly different model but around the same level), trying SO many in between, and the difference between cheap ones and expensive ones is so, so huge, there are no diminishing returns involved. I noticed the Korg SP-250 digital piano behind the drums too - I owned those forever and would always tell people that those are such a hidden gem as far as a cheap keyboard with really great action - obviously very subjective, but I tried so many keyboards before I bought mine (10+ years ago) and that keybed was by far my favourite. They "upgraded" that model to the 280 later, but put in a much worse keybed, perhaps regretting putting one in a budget piano that they also put in their high end models.

After saving up for a month I bought my first dress watch i.e orient bambino 5s 36mm in Rose( Same as Brock’s Bambino ) . Then instead of having several clothes that doesn’t fit well I got 2 MTM dress pants , 4 Levi’s 511 Jeans , 2 dress shirts and couple of casual shirts . I love to cook, and the difference in sharpness, balance, and edge retention from the japanese knives Ive bought over the years has really made even more exciting to get into the kitchen, even with the added maintenance. I really suggest finding a local knife shop to help you find the right knife and steel for your needs! Im also currently in the process of upgrading my bedding from the cheap stuff Ive had since college. I sleep hot and so Ive invested in some Canadian made linens, and so far the difference in sleep quality (and sweat) has been immediately noticeable.

I spent a bit more on a commuter backpack from Patagonia that ended up being a huge upgrade over the one I'd been using. I initially bought it because I needed a second bag on the way back from a trip to Portland (probably not the worst place to be shopping for a bag). It's been a gamechanger. I'm feeling like I should throw my old one out, but I'm struggling to part with it. Also, I sprung for some Sony xm4 over ear headphones a couple years ago and they've been magical. Not top of the line or anything audiophiles would think too much of, but they're really comfortable and being able to stay connected to multiple devices is really nice. The carrying case doesn't hurt, either. They fold up nicely and the case provides a safe, snug, permanent place in that backpack I purchased.
