wow! love this! Thank you so so much. I'M actually a 64 yr old lady who still loves to dance. When I was 20 I was dancing up in a cage in nightclubs and paid handsomely for it lol. Of course so many women called us trollops! I'm currently learning to Pole dance as I believe in dance at all ages. (I even know wheelchair dancers dancing contemporary with an able bodied dance partner.) thank you so much for this. INVALUABLE! please keep them coming as I purchased an Xpole Expert for practice at home :-) x x

I can do the tricks and spins but my flow isn't graceful and doesn't look put together. I feel I have the technique and strength but my actual dancing is just not there. Do u have any advice or know what I can look into to improve?
@ThePoleDancer2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lily! Yes, I think I have exactly what you need. 1. I have a series of tutorials on how to improve your flow - by using more your arms, your head, your chest. You can find them here: thepoledancer.com/tag/pole-flow-series/ 2. On my homepage you can sign up to my mailing list. I'll send you a Welcome email with a question about what you'd like to improve on the pole. Click on the dance/flow answer and I'll send you my best material on dance and flow. Send me an email if you have any questions. Miglena

What do you call the move at minute 00:47? Beautiful routine!
@ThePoleDancer2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I don‘t know how to call it… bridge twist, twisty bridge, bendy swirly twisty thingy… I don‘t know if it has an official name.
@Malinche2192 жыл бұрын
@@ThePoleDancer Thanks for the quick reply. I'm asking because I've watched the video several times and have the choreo down except for that move. I feel like I have dancer's dyslexia sometimes lol. Ever get that trying to learn a new move? 🤣
@ThePoleDancer2 жыл бұрын
@@Malinche219 Haha Yep! This is an advanced bendy move (though there are easier variations) and a part of the short freestyle I attached at the end of the choreo. But isn‘t really a part of the choreo. I taught it in this class kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXXdfJdta52Xqdk

My problem is if I hold onto the pole too much I start to slip eventually when doing spins. Like I need to wipe it down/regrip with chalk between each move :/
@ThePoleDancer4 жыл бұрын
Are you gripping the pole correctly? kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4iroIunhZh0pdU
@BreeElisexo3 жыл бұрын
@@ThePoleDancer I think I just have trouble with bracket grip. I have sweaty hands and I have to do all bracket grip moves at the beginning or else I'm too sweaty to hold on tight enough mid-dance with that specific grip
@ThePoleDancer3 жыл бұрын
@@BreeElisexo I'm not sure about your level, but just want to mention that the bracket grip is a bit more advanced grip - rather an intermediate level. The top arm is doing 80% of the work. You need to be really strong there. If your top hand is slippery, you will be most likely sliding entirely

Yes, it is
@hellopanda135 Жыл бұрын
I love your choreo and videos so much, but as a beginner these no word videos are pretty challenging to learn from, or at least make me work a different part of my brain. Just by nature of your prowess, your movements are complex, eg. the way your head/neck turns during a spin, so that a simple move can have a lot of nuance and thus look much more complex and confusing.
@ThePoleDancer Жыл бұрын
I agree. This was my very first tutorial. :) Some people mentioned that the slow-motion with the graphical pointers (arrows, circles) are helpful. I like to believe that for some people this visual way of learning can be useful, maybe additionally to the regular one. I‘m a visual learner myself actually
