You have no idea how much I love your videos. I don't use oil and I'm gluten free so these recipes are right up my alley. I also love that you don't use soy because it gives me headaches!

this looks amazing, I think I would add the balsamic to the pan to deglaze and pick up even more flavor. Thank you for all your hard work and great recipes

I love your bread recipe and made it many times adding a teaspoon of rosemary and garlic powder toasted for a slight crunch ... yum! Having a burger squared instead round for this bread is genius!

Not tech savy & do not know how to vote but would give top ratings to this. Have made this twice so far. Second time, doubled recipe & baked on lg baking sheet. Bout 1" thick. Baked 1 hr. Then cut 4"x4". Excellent.

So going to try this -missing several ingredients and often practicing making a veggie burger that doesn’t crumble. Thanks Jill for keeping it simple as this doesn’t look too complicated. Not a big mushroom fan yet want to see how this works in my kitchen🙏🏻

Made this and it’s delicious and satisfying! The whole family loved it. We also eat it as meatloaf the next day for something new and you can put a bunch of cooked mushrooms and onions on it with some bbq sauce. It need sauce or ketchup and mustard because it’s not hugely flavorful because no salt but I’m okay with that! Thank you for the recipe!

This looks fantastic!!! I have a veggie burger recipe that I use and it is wildly different from this one. Sure could have used your inspiration and imagination when I first went vegetarian in the 1970's. Thanks and kind regards from your most recent Subscriber.

I made this tonight but mine came out pasty so I just made burgers which are in the oven now. Based on what the batter taste like I think it’s going to be fantastic!! I did put the balsamic in with the onions, mushrooms, garlic and tomato paste…it was so yummy just tasting it without baking it…can’t wait for it to be done!! Thanks Jill for all the inspiration and delicious recipes you pour your heart and soul into each one❤️❤️❤️

It's very simple. Not everybody likes a plant based diet. I like the low card veggies but I also eat meat for protein.

I live in MA but just visited my friend in Cary a couple weeks ago. I’ve been there many times and love it. I didn’t realize the weather app on my phone was still set to Raleigh and a few days ago I checked to see what the weather was going to be where I live and it said 89 degrees! I thought I was in the twilight zone!

Jill, you gave me my favorite bread ever with your “Mother of all gluten free breads” recipe, and now a burger we can grill!!! For Mother’s Day we will have burgers (with meat for the 3 of the 8 of us who are meat eaters), fries, baked beans and slaw! It will be delicious!!! Thank you so much!!!

Yummy, kind of like a "Meatloaf " sandwich! If you want to have a good Bun, O'doughs makes a yummy vegan gluten-free square bun and they are very good! 👍❤

Potassium salt (e.g. Nu-salt) is a healthy alternative to salt as well.

Regards to the veggie burger ingredients, will the consistency be change in a bad way if I use whole grain buckwheat flour instead? Are there other alternatives to use if an ingredient is not available? Thank you.

Yes, it would change the consistency. They wouldn’t be as firm or have as much texture. I think it would still make a burger though. 👍

I just fried them in a pan on my countertop burner. It is just for filming. Stovetop burner works better.

@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow It was getting late here last night when I made these up ....in the end I stayed up the extra time to bake then, (they smelled so good) let them cool and then set them in the frig for the night. Packed most of them in the freezer this morning. Will be having a couple for supper tonite. Maybe next time I'll try freezing before baking! Thanks for your reply.

Hey, have you had any health conditions resolved by adopting an oil free vegan diet? A friend of mine has Rosacea, and I’m trying to find a diet that will help her. There are a lot of foods that trigger her Rosacea. ☘️

My husband was pre-diabetic and I was having heart palpitations and regular migraines. We were both a bit overweight before we started too and all of this was resolved once we adopted a whole food plant based diet.

Can I just double the ground flax if I don't have the psyllium? Is there a reason why you double the silicone bread pans?

The psyllium firms the mixture up better but the flax meal will work if you don’t need it to be as firm. I double my silicone pans because these particular ones are pretty flimsy. The walls bulge out on the sides if I just use one

There really isn't a substitute. It is the thing that binds it together. You can make it without it but the burgers won't stay together as well and they won't be as firm.
