📮That’s your takeaway, that the doctor said TikTok wrong? . Please, get out of here. A blameless woman has been accused of horrible crimes by another woman, younger, who is unethical and probably mentally unbalanced. . That’s the problem with our society today: BS is amplified, & allowed to flourish. THIS is the takeaway.

@@forallthestupidshit3550 ah, pizzagate. I was thinking about my comment, actually, and I’d also be afraid, but I was incorrectly invalidating her fear just like I incorrectly invalidate my own (far too often). It might be a low risk that someone insane might attack her or her family, but it’s still an unnecessary introduction of real risk. The fear that causes, on its own, is enough to be severely disruptive. I imagine this professor is legitimately fearful and distressed about this happening. It would be deeply upsetting and she has no recourse except a lawsuit, which is expensive and exhausting. The whole situation is terrible and the professor is a completely innocent and random victim of this mentally unwell person. I hope that it is rapidly brought to an end.

Seriously. The “Tik Tokker” (I refuse to say her name and give her any more attention) is now counter suing Professor Scofield because she’s getting threats. Threats she’s receiving because of accusations _she_ made! It would be funny if it wasn’t so tragic. And she missed her deadline to respond to the lawsuit because she was too busy doing interviews on National news networks, making multiple tik toks, IGs and KZbin videos, and writing a myriad of blog posts. All about the lawsuit. She had time to _talk about_ the lawsuit, but not respond to it in court. Oh, and apparently now that she has found time to respond, she’s representing herself. I can’t figure out if the Tik Tokker is actually delusional, or if this is all simply for the views. I know she obviously wants the attention but does she actually believe the ridiculous stuff she says? Because if so that’s delusional in my mind.

@@Username-wh2ij It doesn't take money to sue someone. If you have a win-able case, present it to any lawyer that takes cases of your kind, and they'll take it on at absolutely no cost. Only if you win do you pay them a fee according to their fee schedule. So, this idea that people need $$ to sue people is absolutely incorrect. Hypothetical question: what would be worse for you; finding out that there was a deepseeded resentment from someone in the community that was known to most of you, or finding out it was a completely random, completely insane homeless drifter who did this? @@forallthestupidshit3550 Hmmm. Interesting question. It would be awful either way. I'm a student at the University of Idaho, so potentially learning that it was a student or staff member or a member of the community would be horrible. Learning that one of my classmates or teachers could be involved? That would feel like a huge betrayal. We're here to educate ourselves or others. But if it's a completely random person, just... why? Why them? They were so young and hopeful and a full life ahead of them. And as a student of psychology, were there signs that society missed that could have prevented this crime? It's a catch-22. Either way, my town is bleeding right now. I hope things can come to light and whoever did this can be held accountable.

For anyone saying the teacher shouldn't be upset because no one would believe Ashley's crazy claims and the accusations wouldn't affect her in any way, you are wrong. In one of Ashley's first videos about the teacher, she showed a web page with the teacher's name, office number, email address, and phone number. Several of Ashley's fans believed her and have been harassing Scofield through calls and emails, so yes it has been affecting her life because there are actually people who were stupid enough to believe Ashley's outrageous claims. Ashley is insane. She received a cease and desist which told her she would be sued if she continued falsely accusing the teacher with no evidence -- they warned her -- and she STILL kept making videos accusing the teacher. She even posted a video with the teacher's number and email address. She deserves to get sued big time. Update on the case: the police found the men who did it yesterday. Surprise, surprise (not) it wasn't Scofield.

This tiktok reader is way off base. I've read tarot cards for fun over the last 20 years. They're just for fun. They're not scientific peer-reviewed proof of anything. There are hundreds of different ways to interpret them. Unfortunately, people also add in their own opinions, egos and biases while reading the cards because people are human and there are no standards of professional conduct. This is one of the problems of social media click bait and a need for views and clout. Hopefully the history teacher will get justice in court and clear her name.

There are likely a few reasons. It doesn't appear that Ashley is wealthy like Alex Jones. For the average person $75K is a substantial amount of money. If Scofield asks for too much its unlikely Ashley can pay. Also, its important to understand that the $75K figure is Scofield's opening bid. Its whats she is asking for and doesnt mean she will get it if she wins. A jury may give her half of that. Its too early to tell. That being said if she wants to avoid financial ruin her best bet is for her to retract and work out a settlement.
