Tim is absolutely correct about those complexes. I lived in one for a year and it was the most vapid, empty group of people I’ve ever been around, not to mention the cheesy ass “community events” the front office was always putting on. From the day I moved out I have sworn I’ll live in the backseat of my car before another one of those places. I moved back to my old neighborhood and within a week the neighbor’s parole officer was over there searching his house. Now that’s living!

People like to live in those Apartments with the stores, Gyms etc. to cut-down on the day to day interaction with Steeet Urchins. You can't avoid them completely, but if you can run downstairs to pick up a 12 pack and not be subjected to Hobos panhandling, the Suds go down much better. You don't need to run into Tiny Tim and a bunch of Misfits everytime you need to get some groceries.

Here’s a great idea, you could simply mind your business and go about your day or politely decline if people try to engage with you. If the mere sight of a homeless person panhandling causes you so much anger, 1. You live an incredibly privileged life and 2. You’ve probably got some issues that need addressing.

I love apartments honestly, like visiting them I don’t think I could live in one. I just like all the people, you got like 50 neighbors, constant police sirens, passing by in the middle of the night. Just the sounds of the city, not to mention drugs. You can walk out your door and find whatever you want, you can throw a party whenever. I’d be living like a frat guy if I lived in an apartment. I grew up smoking weed at my homies apartment when we were kids, our dealer would pay him in weed just to take his trash out. We would stay out late until cops started doing their nightly rounds and run from them, we’d be smoking blunts waiting on 12 to come do their nightly patrol and we’d run from them all the way to the homies apartment. I live in the boonies, I barely see my neighbors and if I want to do anything you have to drive atleast 15-30 mins. In an apartment I’d legit ride a bike everywhere
