Can we also talk about why all jobs have to be 40+ hours, 5-6 days a week? I was sooo miserable working 50 hours a job, so exhausted. I lived for the weekends and in the weekends all I did was sleep and watch movies, too exhausted to do anything else - that's no life!!! When I worked part time (24 hours), I was sooo much happier, the work was boring but because the countdown was done quickly and I had 4 long days of freedom to look forward to, I was simply happier. On my days off I volunteered, I took care of elderly family members, I spent time hiking in nature etc.

They could share the work loads equally and pay better wage to people to make people more happy and motivated. It would be much better if one would work 20 hours a week efficiently than 40 hours tired and unmotivated. @@KayFabe87 Valid points, but considering that we are equipped to maximize our potential because we know better, why not do better? A person migrating to the U.S. for a better life is a step up for them. A U.S. citizen getting out of the rat race to live on their own terms is a step up for the U.S. A person trying to leave a country that is more terrible than the U.S. would look at the U.S. as paradise. However, because someone has better opportunities than the next, the "better off" individual should just SETTLE and NOT maximize their potential because someone else has it more difficult? Nonsense. Figuratively speaking, just because one person is getting raped with a bigger shaft than the next doesn't mean the "better off" individual isn't getting screwed royally as well. 😁 If you KNOW BETTER, you DO BETTER. I watch videos with different sounds like rain, train, etc for sleep but I've never seen one with someone actually sleeping, but it might work if you put soothing music with it or rain or sleep sounds. Maybe you can also make it informative like try different sleep products for the videos and have your audience try it with you.

I agree 'work' for most people is an absurd blatant con! You do 5 days painful work to pay for a home which is empty most of the week. The 2 days off are mostly spent doing chores to maintain a home for the 5 when you're at work. You also spend a good percentage of your painful wages to upkeep a vehicle just so you can travel to work. You retire at 65 (if you're lucky) to die at the average life expectancy age of 78.

Agreed that the "system" plays it off like this; but there is no rule saying that we have to follow that concept. If people look at you weird for doing something different... It means that you are on the correct path, these days. We just need to figure out how to make our own companies/ replicate the same processes. Even if it's making and selling the same thing over and over again. At least that way, we are no longer selling hours. Instead, we're selling products/ services.

Honestly I feel the same, but feel stuck. I've recently turned 30 and I'm still at school. I never could stand the so called "dream" life. Get an education, buy a house, be in debt! I used to work shitty jobs because I hated school. Now I go to college and struggle everyday because i'm bored out of my mind. I decided to do it because of the social pressure telling me I need an education, but also because I couldn't see myself working low wage jobs as well. It's not like those jobs doesn't make you work hard too. I just want to be my own man. I don't have to be rich, I just don't want to spend 8 hours a day doing something I don't give a fuck about. But it's almost impossible because you need money. So now I have to choose to quit school and get a low wage job, or stay in school and be miserable. Great hahaha. Honestly life is so fucking horrible sometimes.

People are misinformed that you need education/university to make it! Look at the really rich people: most were school/uni drop outs (Steve Jobs, Elon Musk..). I can tell you this for nothing if I were to have a son/daughter I will not push them to go to higher education despite the fact that I graduated with PhD!. Those certificates do not pay; they constraint your mind and brainwash you to see things with tunnel vision- you only know of one path. I am now financially independent not by the result of my formal educations but I had a Mum (RIP) who were street wise; God bless her soul. At the age of 62, I am sharing my vision so son leave what makes your life miserable; it is not worth it- take one step back and revaluate as they said one step back 2 steps forward. Get an apprentice as work with your hands/practical skills, manage your $/£ frugally to prepare for an opportunity to invest/start on your own; you can make it- believe in yourself. Best wishes. God Bless.

I don't mind the social pressure, but I do wonder if there are any fulfilling, high-paying careers I'm missing out on if I don't get an education. And then I wonder if I even want a career to begin with. Eight hours a day at any job sounds like a complete waste of life, I just don't know if I have any alternatives.
@camfre4k Жыл бұрын
@@godnotavailable2094 honestly my best advice is to choose something you actually find interesting if you want to pursue an education. Don’t think about the money. No matter what job you get you wont get that big pay check to begin with anyways. It all comes from experience. But to be bored 8 hours a day of your life is not worth it in my opinion. And if you go to college you properly have to put in more hours if you want to get good. I’m on my last semester now and I only finish because I would feel like a failure if I have wasted 5 years of my life and have nothing to show for it. But I have zero intention of staying in this field when I get my diploma. But at least I don’t have 5 years unaccounted for on my resume haha. Sometimes it’s hard to know what you want, so just try some things out. Just don’t do like me and stay in hell for so long that the only way out is through

The idea of achieving that is very inspirational. Bro, laying around on a beach and going on hikes gets old fast. I took off 3mo to travel Europe and was bored by month 2. It's okay to get off work and get drunk and make all kinds of bad decisions but don't you dare smoke a joint. Ridiculous. I've been a daily smoker for over 35 years and have been very lucky. I have only lost my job once because of a random drug test. Now I'm looking at moving to a different state to escape the oppression that exists here and going to work in the cannabis industry. I just want to live my life my way without being punished for what I do after work.

My lease ends in April. Quitting my job and moving out west. I don’t have a 100% solid plan but i am planning on how i want to live out there. You’re videos are great and remind me to go out and chase what i want. Thank you so much

Hey Tim. Other than your nature walks and talks which I love, I think this is your best video yet. You definitely hit the proverbial "nail on the head". My hubs and I have been talking about the same thing. Especially since shutdown. No more allowing everyone else to control our income and lives. I started reselling last August and business is growing. Taking back our lives to be financially independent. Thanks for this video. It was encouraging and motivating. You do that well by the way.

Amen! I worked for 40 years at one job and I'm just clearing my mind and brain of "working for someone" . People are always asking me, "so what are you doing now?..." I do what I want and go whenever I want too. I am LOVING Retirement! Finally! (I wouldn't want to do it over again, that's for sure!) A job - Trading time for money, no more!

I never really had a dream job. I never stepped into the rat race. On the other hand, I am not an entrepreneur either! I tried a couple of things, but doing everything myself, and having to "sell myself" and find ways to get people interested in what I had, never reaching a point as to knowing whether I would have money the next month or not, so much actual "work".....that was way too stressful for me. School was something I always loved though. I loved learning, especially in a structured environment. So, I went to college, not with the intent of getting a job/career to make money (which no one seems to understand or accept, LOL), but because it helped me expand, see things differently and understand more about myself and the world. That was my element. Travel fulfilled some of that same curiosity about the world. So now, I live in a different country and work in education! I am a bit tired of having to rely on working to get money to live, however, so I am wondering what is next.

You hit the nail on the head with this video! Great content! I want to pursue my dreams and passion and that’s my goal! This is why I am working so hard to be debt free because that alone will give me freedom with options! One month to go to be debt free except my mortgage!

I am just like you. I never wanted to work for anybody but always be self employed. Everybody hates me for it and everybody tells me "you are just too lazy to work." they dont understand that we have a TRUE DREAM, something we WANT to do, which has nothing to do with working for someone else. but at the job interviews I may not mention the truth, or I won't get the job. and believe me "Job on the side" is NOT paying the bills. a "50 hours per week" job pays the bills only. so we don't have time to follow our dream.

I love your videos. I am so on the same page. The trick is to let go of the "dream" house, and/or "dream" car, and/or consumerism in general. I know when I bought my house for $25k in 92 even I thought it was a "starter" home. Earning more so I could have more was the game. I woke up when I paid off the house and really felt the freedom of not having any real debt. I didn't need that big salary with the corporate job and I did quit after a time. I wish I had known people like you back then when everyone was telling me I was crazy (they still do). My sister just told me the other day that I need to keep doing accounting work rather than woodworking (my passion) because "you won't be able to afford to live". LOL, she doesn't know what I need to live on or how much I'm going to make. smh Thank you for giving me a moment of NOT feeling like I was the crazy one.

I'm tired of the psychos who end up in corporate management that seems to flourish despite being corrupt, evil and hated by everyone. Working under them was so soul-draining that it left me numb. I left the 'work' life 12 years ago and have never looked back.

After 25 years of trying to teach real life and useful lessons in high school, I have come to see that only 1% of high school Students actually wants to learn anything. Doesn’t matter if it’s compound interest, starting a business or manifesting what you want from life. If it requires effort, no one wants to do it.

Brotha! I LOVE when you giggle! ☺ I LOVE to see brothas able to express joy and delight with all we tend to be up against! AND I cosign your messaging along with your COURAGE to express it. You ARE truly modeling the behaviors you want to see! I was asked just a few hours ago about my job situation. It is tiresome. So many of us are waking up to the understanding that there is nothing we can do for anybody else that is any more secure than what we can do for ourselves. Ironically, a lot of us learned the definition of EXPENDABLE watching Loony Toons... long before we realized that is what we were being trained to be. lol 🕊💪🕯
