With regards to the broken back window, I know exactly what you mean with just a tiny bit of force doing big damage. I used to work in a supermarket deli, and one day we had two roll-cages and two trollies for the oven racks parked next to our deli hotbox while we were cleaning the floor. The hotbox is that glass display window with hot foots in it, and the side-glass was like an inch-and-a-half thick to keep the heat in. I gently nudged a rollcage with my hip as I went past (I mean, super gently, I hit the corner and I barely felt it), and that roll cage gently pivoted and bumped into the next roll cage, which also pivoted and ran into a trolley, seemingly gently but obviously with a little extra force. That trolly bumped into the next one and then that one bumped its corner into the glass on the hotbox, didn't appear to hit hard at all, BUT it cracked like a spider web out from the point of impact, where an actual chunk of glass had been chipped out. I just stood there agape because the only loud noise and big impact was that moment with the glass, it was so unexpected.
