can y'all like...not show me part of the comedy before I get to the comedy? I want to enjoy the comedy at the natural place where I'm supposed to. That "preview" or whatever it's supposed to be ruins that moment in the comedy. I mean, why do you need a preview of the video I AM CURRENTLY WATCHING, THAT I HAVE ACTIVELY PUSHED PLAY ON in the first place? I CHOSE to watch this video, you're not trying to "hook me in."

My dad was the realest ever. He’d almost never spank me, he’d just be disappointed in me and that’s what killed me. He never rewarded me after I did something, but gave me whatever I wanted, if appropriate and told me, “Son imma get u whatever I can, imma play my part and you gotta play yours, now make me proud”. And he always used to talk with me about stuff from relationships to booze and shit and because of that relationship I had, I almost never went against his word, not out of fear but out of respect. Thank you for being the greatest dad man, I love you.

@@tomasotreasaigh111 Getting hit or beat by someone you're supposed to trust isn't always the answer. You can always teach someone with your words and actions that aren't put out negatively. I know I'd never lay a hand on my son. Now if he did need a smack upside the head or something that may be different, but a whooping/beating? Now that's too far. Also depends on your personal definition of a whooping. Some people think spanking, some people thinking beating.

@@fistybaby9489 yeah but he didn't steal because he was sneaky or malicious, there was clearly some unfair system in school and he was sick of it. I think intent matters. And a ass whooping doesn't instill good values. All it teaches kids is that violence can solve problems. So yeah it might of hurt and he won't want it to happen again. But he also won't trust his dad anymore. They trust between them is destroyed. He'll resent his dad, and he'll learn to hide things from him. Spankings are almost never the answer especially on older children, with reason and critical thinking skills. It's what lazy parents do.

She looked at me wide eyed, then she caught my grin and we split the loot Haha. She didnt stay long in our school, even as an kid I knew she was troubled, and probably had some tension at home. Oh, I have that last memorial beating. I had just turned 13 at the time and didn't clean my room. Now I was warned but I didn't do it. My dad counted everything not up to his standards, including specks. It was over 200. I got hit for each item. He actually got tired and handed it off the belt to my mom so he could take a break. I was thinking great, but she hit harder. I had welts from the back of my neck down to the back of my knees. Never forget it. I think it was mostly my age and the severity of the beating. It wasn't like that was the first time. I learned to stay in my room and never interact with him at all. If I was outside my room I was in trouble. He was my stepdad and just took all his frustrations out on me. The good thing is learning to stay in my room started a lifelong reading habit. To this day, thirty years later I still don't watch TV I read.

Most parents are guilty of hurting their kids physically at least once. The difference is that good parents only do it when they're angry and they admit their mistakes and try to come up with a solution. While lazy parents will try to excuse what they're doing.

@@larsonfamilyhouse "Can" is wrong. It WILL ruin people. No one comes out unscayed after a spanking. It's very specifically intended to hurt the child. It is a "method" based on causing pain and agony. A moron with no skills in handling children just decides to hit them and hurt them physically instead of taking the time to talk to them or use other non-violent means to keep them under control. Such a person is not to be glorified. Put America and Europe side by side, and tell me which continent you think is doing better socially.

man i love this man, my mom used to hit me real bad when I was a child. I remember this one time me and my sister were planning on painting the wall by jumping on ketchup packets laid down on the floor. The fun starts and immediately my mom catches us, furiously runs for a broom, gets rid of the bottom and tries to get me out of the closet where i was desperately trying to hide and starts hitting me in the back with the stick. I was like 7 and I remember looking at my back in the mirror and all the red marks, parents can be merciless sometimes. This was the worst beating of all.

It's strange. I see some people in the comments calling it abuse, and others calling it growing up. My mom hit me in the head with a can of beans in the grocery store and knocked me out one time. I think it's a funny story so I'm always shocked when some are horrified. When I was coming up, anyone in the neighborhood could kick your ass, then your parents would kick your ass when you got home because someone else had to kick your ass. I just saw that as normal.
@SoManyRandomRamblings
@SoManyRandomRamblings 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, growing up everyone used to sit around "laughing" about things that our parents did to us. I didn't realize it wasn't right till I went off to college and people starting reacting all horrified. It's amazing what we can be programmed to perceive as normal.
