From across the pond gotta say I really liked this review - solid information and direct comparison style made a good watch AND you included FT-LBS energy ratings. On the whole you guys over there do much better reviews but sometimes only refer to FPS which most airgunners over here don’t relate to. I own a wildcat .22 shooting 30ftlbs (mk1) and its the most accurate rifle I’ve owned in 55 years of air gunning. Great review

After a bunch of research into the world of PCP airguns I went with my second choice first simply due to supply and demand at the same time I had money in pocket when the very kind deal came my way. A friend had bought and only shot it 18 times and decided he didn’t want his .25 FX Wildcat MKII and 6-24 Hawke scope as much as he wanted something else. He let it all go for half what he paid for it. It is oh so nice. It shoots as accurately as my .22 Gauntlet does. One has a bit more finesse but both are very accurate.

Lol, Ricks so big, the Falsh Pup’s stock doesn’t even reach his shoulder on the bags. Way to go Big Guy. Shoot them toys so easy. That’s why he’s so good, he’s so big. Naw, I figure he likes heavier for precision like l do. But when the gun is short and light, like a pistol, its ALL ON YOU. There’s no bracing with a pistol, it’s all muscle memory. Extreme practice regimens make miraculous shots possible. Some of us actually shoot some guns better offhand, and that’s when it gets interesting. For those of us that love to shoot and get to, everyday, we can’t get enough so, while we love your exhibition and trick shots, keep making the videos Rick, we’re all waiting on the next one.

You did a good job on all of them. Yea I like the fix but to pricy for me. I have the hatson flash in 22 cal ,it suppose to be the same mechanics as the pup. Mine loves the 16 grain hornet pellets. I’m cutting the same hole at 50 yards with them on a calm day anyway . Good job.

classic fx 1st shot regulator "bug", my crown .25 has it also -after that the regulator settles in and gives pretty constant fps. Nice video -thanks.

Love my Flashpup in 25 cal, the quattro trigger can be lightened up really nice, I like mine light due to hand issues and it makes me pull the gun a bit. I'd love to have the other two as well, One of these days I'll get another one, but I'm still enjoying my Flashpup, it's a nice little gun and with a little tuning it's a beast, possibly add a regulator, still debating that one, I don't know why I keep waiting and don't just get one and try it out, I like to be able to turn the speed up and down and once the reg is in there it'll be a bit of work to turn it up and down, it's quite easy now. I wanna be out shooting, it's rained for three days, and supposed to rain for the next week so I'm here watching videos, and here ya are shooting bullpups, the only ones I can shoot these days because my body doesn't want to cooperate with what my mind wants to do, lol. I think I may have to put that FX 30 cal on my list of guns I wanna get, definitely impressed with that. Great video, I really enjoy it since I am always eyeballing bullpups.

I have 2 .25 cal flashpups. Put an Audrius reg (59eur, set at 130 bar) in one and an Altaros (80eur, set at 145 bar) in the other. Kept it reasonable, drilled out the ports at 5mm. Both guns provide 20 very accurate and highly consistent shots at 40fpe / 52 joule with JSB exact king.

First off let me say this is a really cool test and it's always good for people to get information like this. I was really underwhelmed by the Diana. Without going into great detail I'm getting 1050 feet per second out of my 25 caliber which is putting me right at 55 foot pounds of energy. It just goes to show that sometimes a higher caliber isn't always the best one when it comes to ballistic coefficient. I had this conversation with Steve at AEAC a couple of weeks ago. This video was the perfect example of that. The flash pup was on par with the Diana 25. The low speed of the diana.... Put it in the same ballpark as the 22 caliber flashpup. Both rifles were extremely accurate... There were pros and cons to both. And it was really cool that you can see that in this demonstration. I'm not saying anything about the FX...because there's nothing that needs to be said about that rifle. I wish I could afford one. So thank you Rick and airgun Depot.

I really like my 25cal Skyhawk in laminate and the stock is definitely a work of art but I didn’t get to this point without quite a bit of tuning and I have mine shooting 825 to 850fps. I had to disassemble mine and adjust the regulator and drill out the barrel port bushing between the air cylinder and barrel and increase the amount of air that can pass thru per shot. I had to work out all the same bugs that guy’s deal with when tuning the Artemis P15 but all the info to tune this gun can be found at the gateway to airguns website. The Skyhawk is basically a P15 internally with a Minnelli stock, I now have a nice bull pup after a bit of work.

It would be awesome to see the Skyhawk in .22. Really wish FX would make a Bullpup that compact also. For me, besides the consistency, the size of that Skyhawk is freaking awesome. .25 is a bit to much for that short of barrel. A bigger plenum may help it but the barrel IMHO is too short for .25. .177 and .22 is probably killer on that platform. Cool video. Very nice display of chrony info. I love my Hatsans. SO dependable. My Hatsan AT-44 outshoots almost all my air rifles. That Diana does look gorgeous, though.

I just got into air rifles. .25 is my favorite. I needed this video. I Love you're enthusiasm. I just subscribed. My question is the Hatsan is $300. Should I go with an FX? I want high quality reliability and will be using for pest control. I would like hard hitting and bullpup stocks are my favorite. And what scope do you recommend? I use open sights normally on my rifles deer hunting.

I LOVED this video. Great Job doing it. I have to say, I mean say you are right about Hatsan pulling off a fantasic gun espesialy a bullpup off with this much power. I actually have the Rifle version wood stock, I went through Utah air guns and you pay zero tax. I have to say you can get a tas more power out of these flash qe rifles, bullpup and rifle and so easy to do. All you do is take off the stock and give the spring tension a few twists to the left, wich tightens the spring. I did three and a half turns. Make sure you mark a point for refrence before doing it. It gets harder to pull back the bolt but do to youre preference. Also make sure you clean the rifle both bullpup and rifle versions very throughly. Even drench the bolt down over and over and work the bolt back and forth for about 10 minites and keep letting the ballistol flowing unless you take apart the entire trigger and bolt and spring unit. I didnt do that, too aftaid Id Messi something very inportant up!!! Its now smooth as butter and barely ever, well since I havent had a jam or mishap at all. Before it was rough and didnt feel smooth at all. I was pretty pissed it wasnt like my 35cal challenger Pro. Well not much is going to too that lever action. Though now my Hatsan Flash qe is amazing and a dead to to spot on killing machine for bullseyes. Lol by the way, I have TRIED 4 kinds of H&N Pellets in 25cal that are all on bullseyes. H&N amo is fantasic in these flash and flash pup qe rifles.

After long consideration I purchased the flash pup.. has not been disappointing. there are some things that need to be tweaked out of the box. but hatsan has plenty adjustment on the hammer spring. some loctite on the bolt screw, mines come loose several times.. shim the optic rail and boom cheap hard hitting reliable pcp..

Rick You are by far the favorite air gun reviewer!!! I would love to see you do a Review of the 22 cal Dianna Sky Hawk. For that short of barrel awesome group!!! I love the Hatsan for the price point $400 bucks!! come on. Wish it had a little better trigger and a slightly larger tank. I hunted for years with a 32 ounce trigger. I loved it. As for the FX great gun but 7 ounces (in the field) is dangerous!! No question about that and 30cal, that would kill you in a heart beat. You are an expert marksmen but I would love to see you invest in a concrete bench, it makes a difference. When I watch you shoot and see the bench moving around I wonder how you shoot as good as you do!!! Then maybe shoot a short string out to 75 yards. decisions on which to buy for the amount we can spend!

You forgot to mention that the Hatsan Flashpup has the fully adjustable Quattro trigger, and this gun can easily get under 1 lb. - Comes with heavier setting out of the box for safety reasons. Advanced shooters will adjust this trigger to something in the ounces.

I've had fx mk2 x smooth twist airgun technology urigan compact and a agt Vulcan 1 and 2 agt Vulcan are easily the best with urigan coming in a close second then fx have a look fx 8 shots agt 12 shots agt lazer accurate you have to change fx mags 3 times to agt 2 if you havnt tried them give em a whirl you won't be disappointed in 1 word AWESOME!!!!!!

Turn the Flashpup down to 860fps.Adjust the trigger. Down to 1lb Then you will be impressed

You gave the Flashpup a bad trigger rating. Mine is just over 1 pound. The pup has a very adjustable trigger which you did not mention. Otherwise, awesome vid. Your fun to watch and generally very informative.

How is that airgun, I can't find it in .22 cal right now though or I'd have probably bought it already lol. Seems to die down in pressure almost immediately after the first shot, an not sure how well it performed at 100 yards. I do like it though, an for the price it seems to be an unbeatable beginner pcp airgun. Or even just an affordable one to have fun with in general.

Was the trigger on the Hatsan adjustable? I had a 9mm hatsan rifle for a while the trigger adjusted easy and was amazing after adjustment.

I would say steyr ,daystate ,air arms the fx airguns are under powered for a .30 if you lived closer I would bring my daystate wolverine .30 at the top of the shot string it shoots the 50 grain jsb at 950 smoken the 44.75 jsb fly the best

WHERE can I find this airgun ? In .22 caliber, but I literally haven't been able to find this airgun for sale ANYWHERE. Not even through the Diana online store directly, they don't even sell this model. Curious if this airgun has an optional "single load tray" as well, that comes with it or can be purchased. But if anyone out there has one of these, I'd love to know where you were able to purchase it. If online or at a local gun shop, cause I cannot find this thing.

The AEA Challenger 30cal sl with 24" barrel $359 100+ fpe seems promising. I got one on the way. The 32" barrel version 30cal putting out over 150fpe seems awesome also. Most people that have the 32" barrel one, said they are getting 170+fpe with 65gr nsa. If you get a chance to review either. That would be great..

Diana performance is great. I went to buy one but wasn't happy with the quality o f the finish on the metal work. Looked like the paint had been applied with a course brush in the dark. Maybe I was just unlucky.

GREAT JOB ON THIS VIDEO!! I am in the market for a back yard squirrel buster. We are over run with squirrels I’ve been leaning towards the Beni Marauder in 22 but now after watching this I don’t know? Could you do a test on the Benjamin Akela in 22?? The high shot count and consistency of the Skyhawk really has me reeling. That was just simply Outstanding. I need an air rifle that may set for a month and when I need it I want it to be ready!! @@brianknarr2056 I have a fairly decent size yard but I have two huge Cotten wood trees Sitting on the patio I’d be shooting straight up or at angle at least. I need to be careful of what’s beyond so ide say 22 is the max. Don’t want to carry long range energy. Love these newer air guns. So many to choose from! Thank you for the reply. God bless, Andy

I was going to suggest a Benjamin marauder pistol. Quiet, accurate, and surprisingly powerful for a pistol. Very upgrade friendly. I have a taipan veteran, and a marauder, and while I love the vet. The marauder is a phenomenal gun. If longer distances are a priority, then the standard marauder rifle may serve you better. However, the “p-rod”, in my experience is lights out at 40-60 yards.

Nice video Rick... I have to tell you, I really liked the Skyhawk.... if it pushed another 75 fps or so..... You know that I have the Wildcat MKII 30... I don’t get the shot count that you do, as I have it tuned to 860 with the 44.75, but it’s worth the trade off, for me, for hunting. However, I’ve found that I am better off if I fill to only 220 bar, as my first 2 shots are inconsistent... might be the same type of thing.

Rick, are these three supposed to be the best in class per caliber in your opinion? You guys planning on shooting to 100 yards in a future video? I am actually looking for three bullpups in these calibers specifically for the purpose of hunting up to the 100 yards range. If these are capable of taking small to mid (raccoon, hogs, or coyote) size game then I will pull the trigger (pun intended) if you feel they can really make the shots up to 100. Thanks.

Q. F. Each rifle has its own harmonic tune sometimes I will hold the rifle different , depending what they are showing me . I shoot a lot of different air guns in a year each one shows you something different .
