I will say we just finished and moved into our log home. We planned every detail for years before starting it. But from the first drawing we did, we used this exact outside. This home help us so much and these people made it a little easier to base some of our decisions off of. Absolutely beautiful home here.

Beautiful home! Nicely laid out. Love log homes so much we built our own...3400 sq ft plus a full basement....8x12 beams thru out entire first floor( 10 ft ceiling). Logs are all hand hewn with chinking in between. It was our dream so if anyone is thinking about building one, do it , you will not be disappointed ! A log home is such a good feel!

I love this home. I'm 62 years old, still looking for my lottery home. This would be it. One of my favorite movies, The Hateful Eight, could have been filmed in its entirety inside, except for the kitchen appliances and electric ceiling fans and lights, this is up to par with a luxury home from the Civil War era. Even the Spencer rifle over top the front door. Nothing over the top size wise, and nothing too small. A truly humble, spacious luxury build. The quality of the detailing displays a humble aura of confidence, that is if logs were to have confidence. I truly wish I could have a free sample of this home.

The kitchen is well designed for serving food, but poorly designed for food preparation. There is very little counter space for food prep outside of the serving area, and too much floor space for people to gather in the work area.

Did I miss the 2nd story floor plan? What is the insulation values of walls & ceiling? That's a lot of exterior wood exposed to the elements... lot's of maintenance to keep up with? Beautiful house.

In most parts of the United States you would expect to pay approx. $530,000. The home featured in the video above has finished lower level (basement). To add the finished lower level you would add another +$60,000 = $590,000. The home in the video also has a slightly larger garage, custom cabinetry, clad wood windows, saddle notch corners, 10ft tall basement walls, half log on dormers, and some other custom touches. I would be interested to see the roof detail where the garage roof meets the wall of the house at time 2:50 There is a downspout there, does all the water off the rear roof section of the garage run towards (and against) the house wall? Or is there a valley up there that we can't see? Thanks.
