9:54 About the "living next to a race track and then moaning about it" point, there's a simple fix for this, and it's something I tell a lot of people. "If you don't like where you live, move." Simple as that. Don't like 44C temperatures? Move somewhere colder. Don't like hurricanes? Move away from the ocean. Don't like earthquakes? Move off the fault line. Don't like the noise of a race track? 1. Give me your house, and 2. DON'T FUCKING LIVE NEXT TO A RACE TRACK.

Can I just take a moment to remind you that unless you've activated the Aprilia "race" mode and have "RACE" show up on the dash, the bike is slightly neutered. As with all the Aprilia V4s, before unlocking the ECU, you're not getting the engine as it should be as it changes fueling, throttle response, torque etc. You would have been black flagged sooner though as it locks open the flapper valve. But, both this bikes are amazing.

You boys handled that debate well, keeping both parties happy. If it wasn't for the other BMW riders smugness I would go for that bike as it looks and performs so well all around. But the Aprilia makes my man parts look larger and has a bit of an exclusive air about it and I love the sound. Kudos to both manufactures for progressing street bikes.

9:39 - in Poland there was a small track near city of Lublin. Some developer bought terrain near it and build estate. Prices of flats where cheap of course, because of noise from the track. People were complaining about the noise and signed a petition to close it. In 2015 the track was shut down.

@RandomShart Agreed! I just checked Assen is 101db and Zandvoort is 93db! I have seen sessions on Zandvoort stopped completely due to sound. As Chris says aswell the tracks have been very long. I have no doubt the Beemer is objectively, measurably the better motorcycle. But motorcycles aren't all about numbers. As a roadbike owner and roadbike customer, I place far more value on feel, sound and fun provided component quality and reliability are more or less equal. And in that regard the RSV4 gets my juices flowing in a way that the Beemer just doesn't. The sharp looks, top notch suspension and... get ready for this... the sound. Oh my god that sound. V4 motorcycle engines are truly a gift of the gods. It should come as no surprise then that I am a Superduke owner.
