To clean up Martin's analogy. Strength is low speed FORCE while power is high speed FORCE. Using the word force here instead of strength makes more sense in my opinion

He’s squatting like that because he’s not a grappler. That type of squat would be better for getting up. I’m not an mma fighter but I am a wrestler
@anotheryoutubeuser53797 ай бұрын
I agree in wrestling specific training that a full depth squat is good. But half squats are good for mma wrestling. Generally people are more upright and you don’t see people often getting nearly as low for shots.

@@easycheats6625he doesn’t do it as a joke. He does it to annoy and trigger Messi fans into commenting, and a lot of comments are making KZbin algorithm believe that this video is getting a lot of comments because it’s helpful and engaging which makes them show and promote it to more people which results in him getting more views, and more views result in more people purchasing his course and him making more money. It’s a simple trick he uses to maximize video performance. He’s playing strings on all of you

@elishafayzulayev79327 ай бұрын
Hi Martin. On the squats point you mentioned there is a good reason to go all the way down. This is because many times you will have a single leg but be unable to capitalize due to strength. However if you are strong you can lift them from the bottom position easier. Example is Michael Chandler

@kevinyoung947Ай бұрын
Someone hasnt watched Tyson, full depth squats are very good depending on the sport look at the reverse lunges with additional range of motion, literally had you double back on your range of motion argument.. i will say zerchers are dope but many fighters over train there front delts so it stresses already stressed muscles.

4:40 Is this true for American Football players too? I heard from my coach that full depth is better and imo it makes sense because we need to be able to be strong in a low stance and have maximal strength output and to have a really powerful stretch reflex.
@balajonn7 ай бұрын
It makes sense that in American football full depth squats help alot because you start in a low stance and also need to have good stability to tacle/defend. Half squats are good for especially striking in MMA cause you're standing up most of the time

Messi doesn't train chinups for the "movement" of vertical pulling what are you smoking bro? He's obviously doing it for back strength and general strength, I don't think a footballer has ever done a vertical pull movement on field in the history of the sport actually. This whole movement vs muscle thing you made up is kinda silly tbh, as if its even possible to train one without the other.
