There's at least a few reasons why that's a bad idea. 1. Almost no one would watch it. Even know women's sport is not popular and for that reason woman athletes earn significantly less than man athletes. 2. There are two sexes. There is no third sex. If anything, there should be a category for only women, and a category for other people. Trans "women" are men and should compete with other men. Trans "men" are women who take an unhealthy amount of testosterone, and therefore they shouldn't be allowed to compete with women, and therefore welcomed in the "other people" category. 3. Trans rights activists would not be satisfied anyway. Their narrative is "trans women are women", not "trans women are trans women", and as long as we do not allow these men into women-only spaces, they won't stop, and therefore finding a common ground is pointless. The discussion is fruitless and we should stop being apologetic.

I can’t believe Piers is even considering this conversation in any way. The man will always come out on top in sports. Why don’t you take away the WNBA and see what happens to the women athletes. You would never see another woman on the floor because they would be getting smashed every single day. If you take the best men against the best women in any sport , other than target practice with a gun or something like that there will never be a woman’s team that beats a man’s team. The best man against the best women wouldn’t even be close. That’s definitely not a knock on women. I’m trying to stand behind these women who have worked their whole lives to become the best athlete they can just to have it all taken away by cheating bullies. It just doesn’t seem fair or seem right to me. Maybe create some sort of a trans league. When was the last time you saw a trans woman get into men’s sports? I can’t think of any example. It’s always the man who didn’t perform the way that they pleased when they were going up against other men who decided to take advantage of women, and they always end up doing better when they’re playing against the women. But if you combine men and women’s sports, you would hardly see any women athletes ever playing professionally in any sport IF ever I’d be willing to say you probably wouldn’t find any Serena Williams and Venus Williams played a man who was ranked in the hundreds or higher. I don’t know if it was on the same day but they got their butts kicked 6-0 6-1 and 6-0 6-0. I believe in Texas, a high school soccer team played the US women’s championship team the Olympic team and the US women’s team got absolutely destroyed playing against 14 and 15 year-old boys There are so many more examples And this is feminism today? It is so ass backwards, and I have three daughters, and this just makes me sick to my stomach.

Tatchell's views about looking at individual cases and their sizes etc, instead of simply applying the basic gender rule to everyone, is highly mis-guided. It shows that he has no understanding of sport, no regard for the women who make their living from it and that his knowledge of basic biology is deficient regarding the physiological differences between the genders. He is simply not worth consulting on this question because he clearly has no expertise relevant to it at all. There has always been a very fundamental irrefutable justification for separating men's and women's sports and no amount of gender dysphoria, or anyone's desire to cheat, should ever be allowed to change that. You are absolutely right Piers! One of the primary assumption in any sports is that the best would compete against each other - I cannot in the life of me imagine why this is even a debate. How can a natural born man compete as a women in any sports? Even if we regard the social aspect for arguing against it, the science and the physiological factors along will tell us that every sport should be contested only by folks in their “natural born” sex category! As we all know and seem to conveniently ignore, the primary factor that contributes to men's greater physical strength compared to women is our higher levels of testosterone, a hormone that we all know that play a crucial role in the development of our male physical characteristics. It is this testosterone that promotes the growth and maintenance of our muscle tissue, bone density, and red blood cell production, which are all key factors in our greater physical strength. Also we men typically have larger and denser bones, more muscle mass, and less body fat than women, which all contribute to our greater physical strength. This is due to differences in our sex chromosomes, where we men have an XY pair and women have an XX pair, with genes on our Y chromosome contributing to our development of male characteristics. Sometimes I feel that the world has gone topsy turvy with these ridiculously not so funny logic!

@@Memoiana I totally agree. There are 4 steps that take place before the end of most great civilizations. 1. The demasculinization of men. 2. The widespread acceptance of homosexuality. 3. The feminization of men. 4. The widespread acceptance of pedophilia. Sound familiar? We've already knocked down the first 3 dominoes. Number 4 is next. Most people say pedophilia would never be accepted in the U.S. However, 20 years ago, everyone would have said we'd never be allowing men who identify as women to play in female sports or go into female bathrooms, and absolutely NO ONE would have ever thought that we'd be allowing children to choose their gender, get on puberty blockers, and cut of their genitalia, yet here we are. Anyone who can't see the normalization of pedophilia coming is blind. All the groundwork has been laid, and the discussions have already begun. They just haven't gone mainstream yet. They will though.....SOON.

@Memoiana I had this same thought, if Tansgenderism isn't considered a mental disorder anymore what will be next...normalization of pedophilia, schizophrenia and even cannibalism...it is a serious problem that needs to be addressed! We can't let people believe their mental depravity is normal.

Not capable of menstruation = NOT woman. Period.
@lemurlover79754 ай бұрын
Some people with XX chromosomes have problems in which they can't menstruate. So are they not women? Problems include lack of menstruation for months or years due to stress which can be resolved and menstruation can start again. Or they never developed a uterus despite having all the other parts when they were developing as fetuses. Or they got endometriosis which means the lining of the uterus just bleeds all the time and grows on other organs and the doctor had to use a laser to burn it all off and now that the endometrium is gone, it's never coming back, and they can't menstruate. Are all of these people not women? Because none of them menstruate?

using Tatchell's argument you either have no distinction in sports, no female, male , para , age , just put them all in the same competition, or you distinct on such a granular level to be 'fair' Basketball, the 6"1 game, the 6"2 game. His example of the one transwomen being smaller is not the norm and you cannot make rules of sport dependant on it

Sex based categories are based on sex, not skill, height or weight. Of course, you can have categories based on sex/age or even skill/age or any other mix up. For example, I can perfectly organize a competition for people with dwarfism and exclude any man taller than 1.60, without mattering how unskilled of weak that man is. He just doesn't belong to that competition

In my youth, I did gymnastics and dancing, and lots of other sports later, too - from wind surfing to equestrianism. For a long time, my periods were rough, as in irregular and very painful. I can't count the times I had to grit my teeth and just soldier through, or miss out. And pregnancies take a considerable chunk out of training time, too. This is something a trans mtf will never have to deal with, adding insult to the injury their scientifically proven physical advantage already deals to women's sports. This travesty has long since become beyond ridiculous and needs to end now. Transgender people need to form their own leagues, because they're not getting ours!
