I healed myself through a four-day water fast. I had extremely excruciating pain at the base of my skull, my neck (cervical area), and into my trapezius muscles. I still don't know what it was. I went to a doctor but all they could do was give me pain medication and muscle relaxers. I am young, and I didn't want to have to take these every day. So, I prayed about it and decided to do a water fast. After just two days into the fast, the pain went away. I went the full four days so that I could get the benefits of stem cell healing into the third and fourth day. My pain has NOT come back!!!

Thank you for explaining what happens during a fast in simple to understand wording. I’ve watched other videos that included info on SEBO but yours explained more about mitochondria and brain repair and glial cells and calming the brain which is very important. 30 years ago I use to fast 3 days every month not knowing any of the benefits. Now I need to fast for my health and I know the benefits yet I’m having a hard time starting and continuing a water fast or a 16:8 intermittent. As the adage says, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”

Hello Dr Jin! I really like watching your video, and I must say, your content is truly inspiring and innovative. Your informative videos always leave me in awe. Keep up the fantastic work! On another note, I have a question that I hope you and your audience can help me with. I've been researching PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and its management, and I came across some information about intermittent fasting and various fasting diets. I've heard claims that a 72-hour water fast can be beneficial for PCOS, but I'm not sure about the reliability of these claims. Have you or anyone in your community come across any scientific evidence supporting or refuting this? I would greatly appreciate your insights or any related information you can provide. Thank you so much! Looking forward to your continued amazing content. Best regards, Amily

Dr. God bless you. It is a very good presentation/lecture. I am 92 plus and I suffered a stroke in 2017. I was a 50 years plus diabetic and hypertensive. One friend advised me to take on autophagy for reversing the hemiplegia. This 7 year old hemiplegia is not responding to any kind of mediication. I have tried all remedies of ayurveda, naturopathyand all kinds of treatments available on internet. My movements are limited using a battery powdered wheel vhair. I am unable to walk. there continues to bea little edema on my feet. In short I completed 8 days of rigid autophagy by water fasting, and the best advantage I got of is on my glucose levels. My glucose leves are normal without medication and my high blood pressure levels are also near normal. But have not seen any improvement in my paralysis. Can you kindly advise me how I can reverse my hemiplegia? May GOD bless you. I will be highly grateful if you can help me out? Right now I am in a routine of No carbo hydrates absolutely for 5 days and two cheat days a week.

Thank you kindly for the great information you give us. I have a question if possible for you to answer, when you mentioned about patients that are hypoglycemic to be monitored, what and how exactly are they monitored? There is a possibility to make a video on that with more details? Thank you!
@DrJinSung
@DrJinSung Жыл бұрын
I suggest not doing a 3 day fast if have the following symptoms related hypoglycemia. 1. If you skip a meal you get shaky, lightheaded or irritable. 2. Eating increases your energy 3. Wake up 2-4 am. Likely due to blood sugar drop. I would suggest patients with hypoglycemia to become more Keto adaptive eating more protein and quality fats first. Then try an intermittent fast for 12 hours and slowly work up from there. Best, Dr. Jin

Thank you so much for mapping out I.F. Many people talk about these benefits, but knowing the specific genes and mechanisms is so helpful. I’m underweight and looking to do GAPS to heal leaky gut. I naturally gravitate towards a 12hr I.F. window and GAPS will help me increase protein/healthy fats & heal the gut so I can absorb food properly and gain weight. I’ll check, but if you have not yet made a video on Candida and how to reduce it without resulting in mercury toxicity that would be amazing! I want to eat right, but die off reactions may overwhelm my broken natural detox system. GAPS says it takes a year to heal your detox organs!

Ever heard of diatomaceous earth? It has been helping me prepare for fasting, although DE is somewhat controversial in some circles... Some people think it tears up the gut, others think it rebuilds it. I'm undecided, but open minded enough to try it myself. I have to take activated charcoal to deal w the herx reaction.
@DH-en4th
@DH-en4th Жыл бұрын
@@MK-ih6wp I did try that for a few weeks years ago. My understanding is it dehydrates and shreds parasites also. I do want to use it again, but maybe after charcoal and diet. After reading the GAPS book I'm resisting the temptation to go nuclear on these microbes that are supposed to be there in some capacity for a normal healthy gut. She definitely offers a more nuanced explanation of gut critters.
@MK-ih6wp
@MK-ih6wp Жыл бұрын
@@DH-en4th I wish I had tried DE earlier. Same w borax, it's been balancing my hormones beautifully. But you definitely should start with diet, I think you will do well with GAPS. If you want to get rid of candida, then DE is fantastic. You will need to take charcoal alongside DE to mop up the toxins that get released, otherwise you will have miserable herx reaction. I learned that lesson the hard way...now I keep charcoal capsules in my purse just in case.

This is excellent information from Dr Sung. My understanding that (through my implementing a Keto diet), you have reduced your sugar intake to almost zero. Of course there is some natural sugar in foods, but you drastically reduce that sugar and you don't ingest any processed sugar. If you are in that state of ketosis you cant overlook the role of salt in your diet. This is especially important when fasting for 24 hours or more (not intermittent fasting). You will need to add more salt to maintain electrolytes. Please note that sugar PLUS salt is not good for you and can lead to higher insulin levels and higher blood pressure. Eliminate the sugar and add salt to your water, or just periodically moisten a finger and tap it in salt along with drinking your water. I firmly believe this helped me through a 36 hour fast and prevented the headaches that other people seem to experience. The role of salt is often not mentioned with fasting. **Im NOT an expert - this was my experience. Do your own research by watching Keto experts (hopefully doctors or nutrition experts) videos on YT.

I’m no doctor but I would suggest that during your eating window you add more healthy fats like extra virgin olive oil or avocado or coconut oil or higher fat beef perhaps grass fed. You might just be eating too little because fasting reduces hunger. Increase your portion size slightly until you get the desired result.
