I was a fan of Jeffree since MySpace and had no idea of any of the things he’d done until recently. I was still buying his make up until last year when he released the velvet trap lipsticks and I purchased the black because when he swatched it I thought it looked amazing. When I got the product it was so bad and no matter how many times it was applied it was never opaque. My disappointment in the product led me to Google to see if others had the same problem and instead found all the allegations against him.

Something else that's messed up is the fact that, outside of the KZbin beauty community, everything mentioning Jeffree Star is just being labled as "ugh, again beauty KZbin drama" and thus, treated indifferently. Doesn't even matter which name you drop, whether it's Jeffree Star, James Charles, Tana Mongeau, NikkieTutorials... I happen to live very far from the US. Jeffree Star Cosmetics is sold here and I know women who don't even speak English but have a lot of this make up because they say it's excellent.
