In this video, I show the anatomy and function of the hip create common problems we see resulting in hip pain, such as osteoarthritis of the hip, instability of the hip, hip labral tears, and more.
Chronic hip pain can be difficult to diagnose, but can be addressed if properly recognized by a provide. We must be able to recognize deficiencies in the deep abdominals, transverse abdominus, and pelvic floor. The hip rotators, glutes, and hip flexors also all play a role in the stability of your hip. Hip anteversion and hip retroversion may also be considerations when looking at hip pain.

Very educational. There's a lot to learn here to help people avoid hip problems. I'm looking forward to the second part. Speaking from experience, I had to have a hip replacement and beforehand I had no idea that all my leg pain was due to the bone on bone in the hip. It was my massage therapist and trainer who told me what was wrong and sent me to an orthopedic surgeon.

You're so thorough with your descriptions. I've just recently finished a course of physio for my shoulders primarily but he did address my lower back and lunges was one of the exercises that he gave me...smh!!! Thank goodness I practice yoga that's all I'm saying x
