Hey explorers! Yes more demolished homes!!!!! These 2 are both classic 60`s homes with the vintage 60`s themes and fittings in both of them and some 70`s as well. They both were filmed around October last year and the first one was being lived in right up until days before I filmed it. The second one seems to have been vacant a while prob well over a year or more. Both homes are large and would be more than suitable for most families! :-) Big development is taking the place of the first one but I am not sure about the second one. Hope you enjoy :-)

Wow, that first house sure is a beauty. So very little has been altered since it was built, it would take very little to restore it to its original specs. Such a shame it's being levelled as structurally and aesthetically it's in great shape. Love the bathroom tile with the trout print on it and the wall light sconces. As for the 2nd house - yeah nah, she can go.

That first house was gorgeous! I loved the bench seat in the hallway too. The second house was pretty cool too. The room with the wood/book shelves /heater I would imagine to be the lounge room and the long room off the kitchen with the sliding door a combination of dining area and second TV/games area. What a shame these homes are no longer. Thanks for the explore 😊

In the first house, there were some very nice lighting fixtures. I liked that one I think because of the retro feel of it. The second house seemed less personal. The number of cupboards in that house was amazing. Was the wood paneling in that house real wood, or was it fiberboard? It looked real so that would be a bonus. Thanks for exploring these houses before they were demolished.

What a great explore. Amazing the first home has seen no updates absolutely original. Paul, I remember we had the same lights in my home as a kid. This was in amazing condition, it was really clean, the owners obviously were house proud. The second one was also brought back a few memories. Plenty of 1960's features and a few minor updates. They certainly liked built in cupboards. lol Keep up the great work

The first house was really nice. Loved the court yard in the front. The green bath fixtures and terrazzo floor I would love to have. Not so much the scarry fish. A sunken living room was popular back then. Liked the pendant light in dining room in second house but was too cutsie and small for a dining room. The master light and curtains would be cute in a little girls room. House was very claustrophobic and dark. Love seeing the period homes and businesses. Thanks for your time doing these video's.

Two great little places, yet again 💰 has determined their fate. I'd say the sleep-out/guest apartment at the first house is just that and not a study/office, judging by the mirror next to the door. All the best from Buenos Aires. 👍👍

Considering the age of this place, the bathroom looks immaculate. Another gorgeous house that would have been very funky back in its day. I love it. Hi Terry, wow after they cleared out what they wanted... there was still things to take & give to a person who had a fire, but saw video is from 2020 so too late for this beautiful home before they demolished it. Yes I know when I saw my neighbors house demolished & everything got smashed...breaking toilets, sinks, mirrors, bathtubs, light fixtures, counters, cabinets...yes everything! If you ask they will let you take anything before they smash it like windows, doors, if real wood floors! Plus look at the flowering bushes those too will be smashed & throw in dump truck. The 2nd house too a few things to take, for next time since this video is old. Thanks, Terry for showing these 2 houses

Very nice homes. Both lend themselves well for homes for older folks. Those floors in the first house were just absolutely stunning! Although I'm a big fan of the older style homes built around the turn of the century, I was really impressed with the layout , space, built ins, and windows in these homes. Quality built for sure! Such a waste tearing them down. Would love to see the abominations built to replace these. Some slapoed together multi unit thing to maximize rental income perhaps? Or another lovely shopping center? Thanks for documenting another piece of your disappearing urban landscape. Great tour!

Lovely older homes. It looks like the city grew up around them. Such a shame that they will be falling under the developers. So glad you got them documented first. The first one definitely belonged to an older couple. I'll bet that they built it and spent their lives there. Such beautiful floors and lights. Both places had been well taken care of. Say hi to Michael for me. You have a wonderful rest of the week. Stay safe and healthy.

So much wood !. The first house flooring was in superb condition, hopefully removed for resale to homebuilders before demolition. In the bathrooms, the shell inspired soap holders, foot rest and bath vents are a very valuable commodity for period restorations, as replicas do not exist, the footrest an excellent addition to any shower for leg shaving according to my missus! The entire house appeared in excellent condition, requiring a complete refurbishment to modernise. Just a sidenote. The outside coloured slate is unique to South Australia, being mined in the Adelaide Hills within the Harndof area. Very decorative but expensive to install, individual peices cut to suit. The second, again wood everywhere. Appears solid and another candidate for a complete refurbishment. But, money has again taken priority. 👍👍🇦🇺

Thank Urbex Indigo taking us through two 1960s homes. The first home appeared to have that special retro architectural feel to it for the era. Most likely elderly residents lived there before being demolished. The tiled front facade is something you see within many Adelaide suburbs going back to the 1960s. The second house was more of a standard build for that era. Interesting how both homes had similar style layout in the bedrooms with built cupboards and bedheads. I loved the pink curtains and chandler in the dining room of the 2nd house you explored and stood out as so different to theme of the rest of that room.

I noticed as you were filming the outside of the first house, that it sits right in the middle of a t-junction. People will definitely notice and more then likely will not like be too happy it's destroyed. I love everything about the first home. It's a home that would be snapped up, as is, and the pay out on it would be astronomical. Second home was very nice..way to dark, with all the handling. I thot I saw your mate, Michael..way down the hallway, standing out back, at least I hope it was him..lol!

Compared to modern plans, the space is far more generous. The way the space is used today seems Rationed, compared to the late 50's and early 60's. Those reading lamps are a nice touch, so jet age retro, rotated down, reading lamps, swept up , wall wash lights. I've seen layouts like that in design catalogues. Good of you to record them prior to the wreckers. Cheers!

That bathroom is amazing. I love how the tiles have trout on them. We all fish for trout in our retro bathrooms. The 50's/60's isn't my favorite design period (I am a Victorian fan) but these homes have a charm that no new construction can match. Also the 50's/60's homes were clever masters of built in storage and innovative appliances. I have a question. Did all the older homes always have a water closet in the laundry rooms? Something not done here in the US. Thank you again for the wonderful tours.

Loved the first house. It looked pretty much original apart from the kitchen, roller shutters and aluminium sliding windows. The sunken lounge and open plan was ahead of its time. Something more common in 70s and 80's builds. It is obvious the house wasn't a standard build for the era. That second house had little of its original features left. I can see it was progressively upgraded without doing a full reno at once. It was a miss match of features and additions from the 60s through 90s. My favourite things were the 60's front screen door and the angled wall lights in the entrance hall. My dad still has one of those lights as his porch light. His house was built in '62. 😁😁

The 'elderly couple' that lived in the first home probably bought it new, raised a family and either relocated after developers purchased it or went on to an assisted living facility. Either way, what a beautiful home to have spent the major portion of their life in! Now, the second home? I know for a fact that the kitchen was updated sometime in the early 80s, How? The home I'm renting here in AZ was built in1984 and has those EXACT same melamine with oak-trim kitchen cabinets. My wife thinks they're hideous but I think they're 'timeless'. By the looks of that place, I do believe I'm right!! LoL

First house was super sweet~man cave or she-she’d in back? So close to busy traffic tho..Second house was meh..don’t care much for amber glass and wood paneling. Those retailers prolly made their fortune in the 70’s-80’s with the stuff.. it’s everywhere!

In the first house, I saw the space for the refrigerator but no spot for a cooking stove. How did they cook?

Don't understand why they left those unusual light chandelier type fittings behind! People can be so wasteful.
