Such a fantastic recipe! Swapped out the tempeh for roasted sweet potato as that was on hand and it served 4 very happy people. The sauce is definitely the star of the show. It's getting pretty cold down here in New Zealand but this dish warmed us up :)

Loved it! The spice mix is beautiful! I didn't have any tempeh so I added sweet potato and white potato in when I was boiling the rice, and I let the sauce just cook by itself in the meantime and the flavour was bursting by time I added the veg! Didn't have pak choi either so used brocoli instead, but the whole thing was deadly! Served with freshly washed spinach to cool it down cause i added too much chilli 🔥

Traditional Thai Massaman Curry is made with potatoes. This is one of the distinguishing factors between it and the other Thai curries. I'm not sure if it was left out for the sake of time. Your curry looks great as well.

I just made this!! Had to stop and start the video a bunch of times to get the ingredients right--hahaha! I had to use lemon zest instead of lemon grass and tofu instead of tempeh and peanut butter rather than almond butter (which I increased to 1/4 cup). I also added a HUGE dollop of sambal oelek to the tofu as I was frying it because I like a lot of heat (also did a whole chili, rather than half). Other than a few adjustments, it worked out great! I served it over brown basmati rice, topped with a handful of cashews. Side of naan bread--delish!!

alex It has definitely helped me, and I love the time period. I know I can get a decent meal even with only a few minutes. Love the recipes
@lazyopia99867 жыл бұрын
But you technically can't (at least in this case ;) ), you still need to cook rice, potatoes or pasta, which takes more than five minutes (I'd say about 20). You'd probably still be active only 5 minutes (well, 10 if you are alone and go at their pace), let the potatoes cook while the curry simmers, you can chill in the mean time, or do the dishes. I like the videos and ideas, but like some other people I feel a bit cheated because the advertised five minutes recipes are lacking (they don't prepare a full meal and there's two of them, many people cook alone), or meals seems undercooked for the sake of time. But I love this channel for the inspiration :) very creative and many helpful quick starts.

Question: Y'all always say that you don't peel produce that's organic, but instead just wash it off. Organic produce is still sprayed with pesticides, and I doubt you want pesticides in your system, so why don't you peel them?
