Hands down I just LIKE you! No foolish excess chatter. Just great vegan dishes that I need after three heart attacks. I made your deviled eggs as eggs and fish I miss the most. I’m here for the no tuna recipe today. Thanks for your videos. Note: cut the black salt way down if you have heart trouble people. 👍

The outro music makes me feel like I'm at a Sunday service at a tiny church in the Rio Grande Valley . . . sammie looks delicious; I like that the binder is tahini instead of mayo. TFP : )

Trader Joe’s has a Japanese/sushi spice that has nori in it which is seaweed to give vegan foods a fishy flavor.
@TheVeganTestKitchen3 жыл бұрын
They're actually a really great salt alternative! I never really used them before this.
@TheVeganTestKitchen3 жыл бұрын
I actually used to put shredded nori sheets in the vegan tuna salad I used to make years ago! I think I do actually prefer it to kelp granules. It has a far more fishy flavor.

Still transitioning to vegan abs this sounds and looks amazing. Definitely adding it to my recipe book. I wonder if adding the vegan egg from your previous egg salad video would really make it taste like no tuna salad???🧐
@TheVeganTestKitchen3 жыл бұрын
That's awesome to hear you're transitioning to vegan! This is a great, healthy, filling sandwich. Also, yes, if you added chickpeas to the vegan yolk mixture from the deviled egg video, I bet it would taste just like egg salad (if that's what you were asking?)!
@MsSangriaMeatball3 жыл бұрын
Looks amazing! But I’m curious...Why the maple syrup/agave? Won’t that make it too sweet? 🤔 Just curious for those who have tried this. Thanks !!
@TheVeganTestKitchen3 жыл бұрын
I agree and I actually mention that in the video 😁 I recommend halving that amount in the recipe. I think it adds something, but can definitely stand to decrease the amount.

@@TheVeganTestKitchen Didn't get a chance to try it yesterday, but had it for lunch today. My wife and I now have a favorite new sandwich...lol. Delicious. I had no capers so I subbed with artichoke hearts. And I agree, the 1/2 amount of agave was plenty. And it's so easy to make. Thank you so much for this video.

I love chuna. Haha. Mine has less ingredients, cuz I’m picky. Lol but it’s still so good. Great tuna substitute for sure!
@TheVeganTestKitchen3 жыл бұрын
The kind I used to make years ago was similar, but added crumbled up Nori for the "fishy" flavor, and used vegan mayo for the binder. So yummy, but not nearly as healthy, lol!
@TeamBroccoli3 жыл бұрын
@@TheVeganTestKitchen Yea I try to use avocado when I can for the binder. If I use Mayo I’ll try to use a small amount of it and use some pickle juice to make it more moist. But I only add in diced pickles, nori, red onion, and sometimes bell pepper. Along with old bay seasoning, and black pepper. 💚🤤

I've never tried adding Tahinni... does it lend a Sesame flavor ?? 🤔 subbed your channel 😀

Thanks! It does have a bit of sesame flavor, but when used like this, does not negatively affect the flavor profile.
