LGBTQ+ Community Debates the Meaning of "Queer", Military Bans, & More (Part 1/2)

People across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum came to the VICE offices in Brooklyn to hash out some of the most pressing issues they face today.
Within the LGBTQ umbrella lies a multitude of identities and ideologies. In an effort to showcase this VICE gathers a diverse group of progressive and conservative members of the LGBTQ community to discuss topics that relate to queerness and its intersection with culture, and politics.
Our goal is to foster conversations that are already happening within communities. With this format, we hope to give the viewer a rare opportunity to witness a conversation with people across the aisle that they otherwise might never find themselves in.

Trans and gender nonconforming people were the frontline fighters for gay liberation, and then were cast out of the mainstream gay movement because they weren't seen as "palatable" to people in power, i.e. rich white straight Christians. They're just reclaiming what they started. It's time to stand on their side and support them the way they supported you.

It's because they approach their relationship with gender from a woke perspective instead of a progressive one. I'll be frank, the moderator should NOT, I repeat NOT have been a member of the community because there were moments where you could tell she was getting flustered, interrupting people, and overall a bit biased towards one side versus the other, and that is unprofessional.
