That's just people that know Mariah Carey the "image" or a 1 -3 songs. Her entire catalog is full of songs where she doesnt use her whistle register...and without it she would still have countless hits and an unmatched catalogue. People like that just amuse me 😂 Her cover of "Out here on my own" is the perfect example imo. She had an amazing clear tone, rasp, emotion, perfect transitions & vowel modifications (per ususal), strong midbelts, and great agility...no whistles.

Unmatched talent, vocal ability, song writing ability, tone and soul. Period. Often imitated, never duplicated. Mariah considers her back up singers as family. She even shares a #1 song with Trey Lorenz from her MTV Unplugged and is a Jackson 5 song. Trey Lorenz is still her backup singer and her MTV Unplugged was in 1992. She wrote a song for a Christmas movie called The Star which was nominated for a Golden Globe like 4 years ago and both her twins and her backup singer's son sing with her in the original track and has even invited him to perform on stage with her on her Christmas Concerts. It's funny to see how he is surprised when she raises her belt towards the climax and I wonder what face is he gonna make when she hits the topnof her belt then transitions straight into a whistle in the Saturday Night Live Rehearsal in 1991

Hey. Does any0one know how he rates Mariah compared to Whitney, Aretha, Barbra, etc.?
@LesageSinging

I don't rate singers. Technique is not the only metric for evaluating art made by an artist. This is my subjective opinion.

Tbh it’s always bothered me that Whitney was given the title of THE VOICE. I know that you’re a fan of Whitney. Could you perhaps find time to do a video explaining why Whitney deserved that title over Mariah?

I know this is late but i think its because whitney came first. If mariah came first she would be the voice.

@@yasirismail7704 no it's because the ignorant of Whitney fans whom always think that darker and powerful long belt is the key to be the voice while there are so many criteria and aspect to be considered as the voice

Could you please do a one on one comparison video of who sang it best between Ailee singing I will always love you by Whitney Houston here on 'Immortal Songs' on April 12th in the year 2014 vs Jessie J also singing I will always love you on the China singing competition in the year 2018? I know that this will be a showstopper. I would also like to hear your opinion as to who sang this song the best(Ailee or Jessie J).
