Her entire catalog is full of songs where she doesnt use her whistle register...and without it she would still have countless hits and an unmatched catalogue. Mariah considers her back up singers as family. She even shares a #1 song with Trey Lorenz from her MTV Unplugged and is a Jackson 5 song. Trey Lorenz is still her backup singer and her MTV Unplugged was in 1992. She wrote a song for a Christmas movie called The Star which was nominated for a Golden Globe like 4 years ago and both her twins and her backup singer's son sing with her in the original track and has even invited him to perform on stage with her on her Christmas Concerts. It's funny to see how he is surprised when she raises her belt towards the climax and I wonder what face is he gonna make when she hits the topnof her belt then transitions straight into a whistle in the Saturday Night Live Rehearsal in 1991
