New Mexico has gone completely soft on crime lately. Alexee Trevizo, the New Mexico woman who got caught murdering her newborn, was recently allowed to attend college pending trial by a judge there. I was dumbfounded when I heard this. Woman is literally being indicted on first-degree murder and they're letting her go to college...

Without the sound you would swear this was a Laurel and Hardy or a Three Stooges skit. Then you turn the sound on when the officers get close and you can hear the fear in their voice. These are what the government calls today Heroes. But if you ask the people these officers are sworn to protect and serve you will hear them say these are zeros

It comes down to the police department and the judicial system being treated differently by the public. The police department WILL face public backlash if that car crashes while their ground vehicles are chasing it, regardless of whose fault the crash was, because people are idiots and like to point fingers without asking questions. The police department will also, although on a lesser scale, face public backlash from more sane folk if they let criminals walk, or rather drive all over them by never catching suspects who flee by car. The compromise is that expensive chopper that the majority idiots are willing to pay for because they think it's going to end police chase brutality. Compare that complexity to judges or DAs, who face significantly less public backlash for doing anything, and thus aren't motivated by much else than their own personal beliefs. The judge who dismissed the charges will NEVER face even the slightest consequence for ensuring that the taxpayer dollars used to capture these suspects were wasted, but inevitably, you came along and blamed the police department for the judge's bad decision, because blaming the police is easier.

Hopefully a bernalillo county jury will convict him. He needs to go away for a long time. He has 18 separate cases showing on the NM court system. He’s been picked up for domestic violence, felony aggravated assault, battery, DV, larceny, possessing stolen property, 3+ offenses of receiving/transferring/possessing stolen vehicles… these are the guys I hope get smoked by LE. Imagine how much you could throw out window when cops stop pursuit and only helicopter is following. Guns, drugs, etc.

Just sickening how much tax money is wasted with catch and release. Hats off to the cops catching both of them with great use of technology!
