Leadership involves managing, coordinating and supervising, taking responsibility for people, directing, organising and motivating them.

I think coordinating, supervising, taking responsibility, directing and organizing are all skills of a manager, not necessarily a leader. I believe motivating is much closer, though. So on top of all the management skills, I would add - vision, presence, leading by example (so pretty much taking responsibility for your actions, rather than answering for your colleagues' acts), full of opportunities to guide people, to teach them. Honesty, consistency of actions and strong presence on the speaking field. Do you think I am somewhat close to the essence of this one, Maureen? I keep wondering about the answer and I feel like I am still lacking something.
