I think my respect for Kobe far exceeds anything else. I respect his dedication and attention to detail so so so much. I can't even word it properly. And that respect turned into admiration over the years. That's my first time realizing it. I started an Iverson fan, so Kobe was always an "enemy" so to speak. But I never spoke ill about his work ethic and desire to reach the goal that everyone should want to reach. As I got older that respect turned into admiration. He helped me realize that the right play wasn't always the right play. He helped me realize that greatness, in any avenue, is going to rub people the wrong way. He's one of the greats that I've learned so much by studying him from afar. I grew to love Kobe because he made me respect him and I'm not sure there's any greater tribute to a man like that.

No one will ever know the truth but what we do know is he wasn’t convicted of any charge so everyone needs to stop persecuting him. What’s your motive? And your comment is not hurting him, it’s hurting his family, whose innocent. People make mistakes. He repented and was forgiven by God, his wife and children so why do you insist on crucifying him? @its1ofgodsfreckledbeauties5874 жыл бұрын
@11_ 11 That's right! Tell it! I'm sorry but people swear he's in heaven watching. Kobe was not a devout follower of Christ! Sorry but Catholics are misled! And that's what he called himself being. Many catholics found the truth and converted from religion to just being called a Christ follower. Jesus said to pick up your cross and follow Him. Not become a Catholic, Mormon, Baptist, methodist, pentecostal, Muslim.....etc. None of these are in the bible. They're all ways that the Satan creeps in and tries to get you to change your beliefs. It's only one foot in and one foot out. You have to have all or nothing. Not lukewarm. Also people need to understand how to conduct themselves in order to make it to heaven. No one is in heaven yet. We're all waiting, including the dead, for judgement day. You don't just go straight to heaven just bcuz of your money or how good of a player you were, how good of a father, friend, teammate.....etc. you can have all of that, but if u don't have Christ in your heart and lived according to God's word and commands, you're not even going to see the kingdom. God has VERY high standards for us and this world is so wicked, not many people by the end will be chosen. Sad to say, but some may as well kiss your favorite loved ones good bye forever. The only way is through Jesus Christ in order to see each other again. Read your bible and fast and you'll feel better, act better, live better, etc.....Once you are dead and you have not done all of this, it's too late to turn it all around so why risk it??? You're not reading this by accident. God uses people everyday to get through to lost souls. Repent and give your life to Christ. I promise you won't regret it! Remember to love everyone regardless and may God bless your soul!

Matt and Kobe played together in 2011 and 2012 seasons. Rachel said he was getting old, but the old Kobe she was referring to didn't play with Matt, he played with a bunch of kids his final 3 seasons. Matt's story was the period when Kobe and Vanessa were going through the divorce in 2011, that could be what Matt is talking about. Makes perfect sense why Kobe had a room at the Carlton hotel and just used underground tunnels from Staples Center to his room.

I would like to know more about Kobes relationship with Penny Hardaway, who is my favourite player ever ... I´ve read, that he didn´t like him later, because Penny did not treat him so well. But this can be also made up like story about David Robinson and Shaq. Anyway Brian Shaw is the first person, who said that Kobe was a big fan of Penny.
@fade2black19824 жыл бұрын
I'm a big Penny fan, and like you I've read the interaction wasn't I guess you could say fan friendly when Kobe was a kid. I'm pretty sure this is true, because its documented in a couple of sources (books, articles, etc.). But hey, all celebs have their moments! We'll probably never know if that specific situation was rectified between the two. Every time their teams played against each other (during Penny's healthy days) I remember Kobe and Penny would def go at each other. The playoff series between the 2000 Suns and the Lakers comes to mind. I wish we had more years of a healthy Penny against Kobe. It would have been fun to watch. Penny expressed his sadness about the death on his twitter, and a couple of interviews. Even though they probably not were buddy-buddy I'm pretty sure there's a mutual respect/love there.
