my son is 7. so for the last 8 years i have definitely noticed that the girls section is several times larger than the boys. the girls have so much variety. beautiful colors, soft/comfortable fabrics, etc. the boys have very slim pickings. to the point that i rarely find anything worth buying after a full day of hitting up different stores. before he was born i learned that i would have to scour the internet & use selective key words in order to find him anything worth buying. his favorite color is light blue which now seems to be exclusively for girls & hard to find for boys. he also loves unicorns, rainbows, baking/cooking, etc. which are more girl marketing exclusives. so from the very start i have crossed "the boundary" many times over when it comes to buying from the girls sections. he has many traditional boy interests also. he is very well rounded, as he should be. by the time he's ready to live on his own, he needs to know how to cook/bake for himself, sew on a button/hem/repair his clothes, nurture his paternal instincts, as well as all the traditional manly stuff that he is also interested in. he identifies as a boy & he's head over heels in love with a little girl. if he happened to be gay or trans it would not make a difference to me or his dad. but the irrational fear that some people have that raising your son to be well rounded will somehow reprogram their minds to turn gay or trans is ludicrous & not worth following along with.

My Ala (grandma) prefers men's clothing, she likes wearing men's cargo shorts in the summer. She made me feel comfortable enough to do the same. I prefer dresses and skirts now as an adult; but I appreciate the freedom she gave me as a young girl. In a judgmental world to be comfortable enough to do so. btw I never really noticed your clothes were "women's" it seems so natural.

It's so refreshing to hear your perspective, because it's perfectly in line with how I feel. I enjoy wearing women's clothing because it's much more comfortable and it's liberating to me. I'm almost 60 years old and I've finally got the courage to start wearing the things I'm comfortable in, but only at home. Your post gives me the courage to embrace who I truly am all the time, rather than hide it like it was something to be ashamed of. Thank you so much for your "real"ness. I sell women's clothing but i design many things to be androgynous so men usually buy my harem pants and some ponchos. I live in Brooklyn new york and ppl usually wear what they want and i love that.

That shirt looks legit good on you, and the pony tail becomes you too. It doesn't really look like a "women's" shirt, just looks like "your" shirt. Kinda reminds me of Ronin attire; pants that billowed out, almost resembling a dress or kimono, but like...a shirt component of that. This video validated a lot of things I have thought about gender norms. It's a lot of societal bs that has people all twisted. Wear what you like, I dig it.

Really agree with your messages, most of my trousers are womens and i normally wear wide leg. Looks better and more comfortable i feel, it can look odd to others but it doesn't bother me. It's pricey, but a lot of Gucci's mens is very feminine and seems like stuff you'd like. It tends to hold value especially if you buy used so in the long term it won't cost a lot and the quality difference and feel will be great (at least from my experience). Wishing you all the best

i honestly would now wear a skirt or high heels cause i think they are uncomfortable ( any my huge feet wont let me anyway... ) but other then that I don't give a flying shit if something is made for female or male. If it fits and I like it, I dont give a fuuuuack! This thing about male and female clothes anyway... it varies greatly from place to place, even with relatively close countries... A lot of the things men wear in Italy and Spain would be considered gay or women clothing in Poland or Russia, meanwhile the latins will say that the slavs dress like shit! It's just clothing, wear what you want, as long as you decent and not disrespecting someone intentionally! ( Like coming dress in bright pink to a christian funeral )

I mostly wear women's jeans because they fit much better on me. And they also look much better on style. And I wear leather(look) pants and patent leather boots too in a combination with a metal outfit. I dont feel "different" for wearing it, but people still see (patent) leather as a "gay" clothing style. I'm confident of myself but it still feels kinda weird to go outside like that. The jeans I can pull off but the metal outfit.....

This is really interesting to me, because I am anatomically a female and have always been comfortable as a female, but for the last few years I have taken to wearing men’s jeans (because they have ACTUAL POCKETS INSTEAD OF THE STUPID HALF THINGS IN WOMEN’S) and also using men’s deodorant. My tops are mostly graphic tees from the men’s section at Target. Almost exclusively black, shades of blue and gray, a couple white pieces. Chucks on my feet. I do have a few skirts and dresses in my closet, but I very rarely wear them. Thanks, Josh :)

Thank you, who really cares (or why should they) what you wear? Screw societal mores, what makes them an authority as to what you should or should not wear, ? Just be yourself and let others sort it out for themselves. Don't give credence in what others think. What gives them the power to decide who "you" should be? Been there, "why are you wearing a skirt?" Because I like it!! BTW, go to a thrift store and buy what you like! Funny story, I was cruising the dress aisle. Encountered a guy looking at dresses (very self-conscious) walked up and said I see your looking at dresses, I think this might work for you. Best experience in life! He initially mortified that someone saw what he was up to. Just played it of and offered suggestions. Told him it was perfectly ok and feel free to find the right item for you :-)

Yes! Wear the clothes that you want. I dress for comfort. I have female friends that wear clothes that are only for fashion and they force their bodies into tight pants and shirts and bras or super uncomfortable shoes, all for what, to look "sexy". That's insane. I love the flowy clothes and leggings or crisp jeans that hug your body just right. I'm glad men are enjoying more color now and looser clothes. Rock it out and be comfortable! Come on over to the ladies side just know not all clothes are comfy for us...throw on an underwire pushup bra or corsette or spanx and you'll see. ach! Hopefully with these gender awareness changes that shit will be done away with and changed. Cheers to a cozy beautiful future friends! and YES EVERYONE CAN BE COLORFUL!!! Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Life’s too short to make yourself unhappy to please others. Toxic masculinity means there’s more stigma attached to males wearing ‘traditional’ female clothing, which is sad. Women can wear gym clothes, vests, trousers, suits, and it’s empowering, but for a man to wear women’s clothing is shameful? Why? It shouldn’t be. Scottish men wear kilts but because that’s tradition, that’s acceptable.

Riddled with guilt my parents loaded me into the car and we headed off to the local store much like the Walmart of today. I was told I could get two of any pieces of clothing I wanted. I choose two pairs of bell bottoms; one pair neon orange and the other neon pink. Today I have a pair of knee high doc martens that when I wear them they draw attention. Where did they come from. The women’s section yet no one clues in to them being women’s boots. Be who you are and be comfortable doing it. It’s your life not theirs.
