Yes this is what I do too- the video shows a longer more complicated method -too much work. I lightly crush the cloves before I add to jar and I do not put in any unpeeled garlic bulbs.

Thank you so much for the recipe! My wife is from Xi'an and I love these garlic! One question though, I had a few garlics turn blue on day 8. The rest were fine. Is it OK to keep going with the ones that were OK?

the vinegar here as I think is not the key ingredient. so feel free to use other types.
This is my favourite, i always eat this when i was still living at my village in the east malaysia (borneo) but when i move to west malaysia (peninsular) it’s really hard to find it. But now i can make it my own, thanks for your recipe 😊.

depends on your appetite. If you pick the garlic with clean tools, it will stay good in the jar. Remember do not mix anything else into this jar, it could be stored a very long time.

Ragil Agung Sugar garlic is a traditional pickle in northern part of China. It tastes amazing and cleanse the palate in a second. It usually goes with many cooked wheaten food or the instant-boiled mutton.😊

Pickled garlic are like gherkin/ pickled cucumber. You can eat it on its own or slice them and serve it in salad, with sandwiches or like how you serve sauerkraut. The Chinese have them along with main courses.
