I completely agree. I had an R1 and couldn’t ride it more than about an hour without hurting the whole next day. I got a MT09 and I love it. Plenty of power to play with and no back pain.

I think you did a great job summing up what the MT09 is all about. I ride one for the exact reasons you mentioned. I love the power and the sound with the fun-loving attitude, but I don't care about slightly wonky cornering or the identity crisis. I actually like the identity crisis. It feels unique relative to any other bike I've ridden. The MT09 is always trying to get you to have fun with it; it's saying "just hit the redline once the light turns green.", "go ahead, do figure eights in the middle of the parking lot, why not?", "pop a quick power wheelie, you know you want to."

its the godzilla of moto (Nissan GT-R is the 4-wheeled GDZ) - angry muscle bike that's a little too fat and sloppy, but a high enough IQ to be aware of it's shortcomings, so it still packs a good ole whooping of asses.

I love my MT09 the upright position feels comfortable riding all day with an INSANE amount of torque! IMO this bike is for the rider that loves the insane power (and sound) of a sport bike but doesn’t need the high speed/ handling and that likes the riding position and comfort of a roadster It’s more hyper-naked than supermoto. Just my 2 cents

Because they are highways, not freeways, and have many crossroads. It is MUCH more expensive and land consuming to build over/underpasses than a simple signal light controlled intersection.

I don't get it. Sumos are the favorite bikes of Gen Z at least here in Germany. The most popular bike channels are owners of Sumos. All A1 squids own 125cc sumos. It made me realize I would rather keep the roads to touring n light twisties and the dirt for the dirt bikes. I may get a 450 sumo for track one day and would like a tracer 900 or rebel 1100 as a next road bike. I don't consider myself appreciative of hooliganism enough to get a 690 after test riding one middle last year

The bike is cheap with great power and it ends there. It isnt really a roadster per say, ktm and triumph make roadsters, the suspesion is to clunky Its really more like a motorcycle version of a dodge challenger great in its own right as a muscle car but it's not a sportcar.

@@theschleifer it’s called a cp3 but it’s not cross plane is you look it up. It’s a 120 degree crank, uneven but not cross plane. Listen the tiger 900, it’s a 270 degree triple. Even sounds like an mt-07 and mt-10

@@theschleifer not sure what the mt-09 crank is called othe than just a 120 degree. Which is a convention I3 crank. Just like how the 180 is for most I4’s Cross plane on a triple actually makes it a T shape. So there’s a small gap in the firing order giving it the cross plane Lope sound, and somehow actually makes better torque
