I've just completed 365 days of yoga with Adriene, losing over 50 pounds. But more important than that, I believe that the positive mindset yoga has given me enabled me to feel confident enough to finally get a job after 2 and a half years of being unemployed and depressed. So this is corny but thank you, not just to Adriene but to this amazing community. I've just signed up for MOVE in January and I honestly think that if you're reading this and debating whether to do 1 whole year of yoga for yourself, then don't even think about it... just do it, you will be in awe at how it might just change your life for the better. Thank you, Happy New Year to all and Namasté 💚🙏

Here on the mat this🌩️☔ wet windy Monday morning before work..Energy Day27:01:25✅ i'm feeling really tired this morning but i feel so energised, more awake, feeling balanced afterwards and as always, finished with a smile on my face, ending on " knocking on heavens door"sways & booty smacks😂😆 that felt so good😌. hi adriene, i’m 15 years old with a debilitating condition, raging anxiety and depression and the past year has been so tough for me but the one thing i’m grateful for this year is discovering yoga, it has truly changed everything for me ( even my symptoms )and i haven’t had a proper panic attack since i started back in july, thank you so much adriene, from my home to yours. you have changed my life and i find comfort in this beautiful of community of people, we are all in this together. namaste 🙏 edit: i just wanna say a small thank you to everyone for your kind words, it’s currently christmas eve and i’m cuddled up on the couch with my mom reading your messages, stay strong guys i love you always and be kind to yourself !! in 2022 make sure you stay consistent with yoga and never give up, no matter how unmotivated you are or how pointless it feels, you will find love and healing one day, namaste friends 💕 sending you all christmas blessings !!

Hang on Your ahead of your time I only discovered yoga at 27 Just stay of social media . At your age I had no phone or Facebook and life was incredibly better I am 32 now. Namaste

Hey PL, keep up the good fight. Your comment reflects a great deal of wisdom for someone of any age, let alone someone as young as you who is struggling through the turbulence of being 15. Ugh, I’ve been feeling kinda sluggish ever since I got sick,but I woke up, did yoga with Adriene, drank some water, ate, did my hair, put on a nice outfit and am actually going to try to get stuff done today. I might go on my first run in 6 months too, we will see what happens 💕have a beautiful day beautiful💕

I feel that! I’ve been doing yoga for flu and cold for the last couple of days and this is my return to other types of yoga after feeling like garbage. I hope you feel better ❤️‍🩹

Your comment was exactly what I needed. I’ve been super anxious and down this week, and I think what I need is to get outta my joggers, put something nice on and have a gentle but productive day for myself (after this yoga sesh of course) Thanks you for that gentle nudge I wasn’t able to tell myself, and thanks to Adrienne for having such beautiful practices that make a huge difference in our lives ❤️

Energy l 🦋❤️🦋 l Day - 27 l Blessed Beloved Beauties! I always enjoy this refreshing, balancing session which is awesome in the evening after work. Today was my first day back lecturing in 6 weeks. I enjoyed my time off, yet I appreciate the students I met today. They seem eager to learn. I hope everyone feels amazing! 🦋❤️🦋

Thank you for the lovely new practice. While I really enjoyed the sequence, I was in tears most of the time because my dear Flash cat was not interrupting, not needing head kisses every time I bent down, was not lacing through my legs and under my body in downward dog… Flash was such an integral part of my morning yoga, now that he is gone, I am just broken. He was such a good boy. RIP my dearest kitty. Thank you, Adriene, for helping to hold space around this sacred practice while I mourn the loss of the best cat I have ever known.

Ooooh this one felt absolutely delicious. Today I also found out that I've developed an ability to sense that knocking on heaven's door is coming. I always start doing it intuitively right before Adriene says so 😂

This is such a beautiful surprise! I was just going to do a very late yoga session before bed--and this newbie from Adriene was _HERE_ ! Feeling particularly devoted and rewarded by my yoga practice with Adriene which is 706 days of continuous yoga YWA and will be two years on January 1st! I just took a semester of yoga + core at Berkeley and got a wonderful evaluation from my great prof there ( a grand kinesthesiologist who has done yoga for 20 years) and I know all my gains are due to sweet Adriene ❤️She said I did better than most of the class of 18-20 something year olds (and I am post 50) and was an ace on all the main points. So proud. So grateful. I am suffering the loss of my husband on October 16th... but somewhere he was watching me doing "knocking on heaven's door." Love to you sweet Adriene and Benji ❤️❤️

SPARK Day 7. Finally I did one on the right day in this calendar!! Once again I've been missing for several days. I was given the diagnosis we all believe won't happen to us early this week. After doing around 370 days in a row I just couldn't even bring myself to get my mat out. My mum reminded me that yoga has already given me all the tools I need to walk this path so I at least decided to see where this video took me. It helped immensely and after several days of feeling completely blind sided and in a whirlwind of chaos I finally feel at least back in control of something. To my friends on here, I will still be around but possibly not every day. Please still stop by and say hi when you see me, as our little moments of connecting with one another really keep me feeling like part of a community and not just clicking a video on KZbin 🙏

That was awesome, thanks Adriene. 😊 Towards the end while doing knocking on heavens door, I started feeling quite emotional, feeling lots of different emotions, then this air of calm came over me. I love how doing daily yoga (one year 247 days,) has made me more in touch with my inner self. Thank you Adriene for this beautiful gift, I loved this yoga practice. See you and Benji again tomorrow. Thankfully, she has been moved to another English class. She thinks 🤔 the grass is going to be greener on the other side. I wish I could be a virtual fly 🪰 on the wall 🧱 to witness her behavior and the outcome. Anywho, I work with the elementary kids together for my theater 🎥 ensemble group. How's your day thus far?

After two weeks of being sick, I'm officially on day 3 of finally feeling more like myself again. Today was the most I was able to do in yoga, not needing to modify or pause to drink water or wipe my nose. In knocking on heaven's door, I flew. Usually it does evoke a silly mood, but instead, it evoked an almost serious jubilance. Is that an oxymoron? 😂 I felt so connected and so free. I haven't been able to feel that way in a while, so it felt groundbreaking. Thank you 💜

Delight day 17🎉 thank you, Adriene, for this practice. It's cold and rainy today, which has made it a little hard to make it to my mat, but I'm so glad I did, I put the heater on so I had no excuses, it was definitely needed for the motivation today. 💖🧘🏼‍♀️🙏🏻

I am simply enjoying these shorter sequences on humid days. I really felt through the hips today as we moved our fingers through the center to the other side of the mat. Increased focus on the spine as well made this sequence unique from previous times. Energize day 25. 629 days in a row.

Blessed Beloved Beauties l 🦋❤️🦋 l Delight Day - 17 (July 17, 2024) is balancing and energizing. I was thrilled to see it on the calendar again. It has been awhile. I had to substitute downward facing dog 🐕 for child's pose due to PMS. Ah, I really feel vibrant. I'm skipping cardio today to take it easy. I'm ready to tackle more grading for the university and cooking 🔪 dinner. Best wishes, everyone! 🦋❤️🦋

Loved the Snow Globe analogy at the beginning of the practice....I was distracted with thoughts about chores & my dog bringing me his ball and it helped, I actually shook myself like a Snow Globe and then let my arms and thoughts settle down into the practice, it worked. Thanks for always showing me something new Adriene.

A bit tougher earlier in the morning as I followed meditation with this sequence rather than wait till later in the morning. Finishing with Knocking on Heaven's Door makes it alright though! Spark day 7. 641 days in a row.

This is my first time trying yoga with Adriene. It’s been a fight in my mind to do this instead of strength training with weights and circuit type training. However being almost 43 I’ve noticed how tight, and not flexible my body is along with hurting more every time I work out. I could tell my body needed more stretching, lengthening and mobility type movements. However my mindset is I can’t continue to strengthen and tone along with burn fat and calories with yoga. I know it’s not real but after years of exercising one way it’s hard to switch the mindset and heart pumping workouts.But I believe my body is screaming at me for this and I believe will help me when I do use weights at times but maybe this is my new way of working out for the next years of my life! Thank you! I just completed the rinse and feel great and also in my mind too!

DELIGHT ✨ | July 17, 2024 | Almost exactly a year since we did this sweet practice that combines strength and stretch - my right hamstring appreciated those stretch! Now I'm off to a work meeting feeling refreshed! 🙏

Mar 15, 2022 05:44 Intention : embody the truth revealed by practicing yoga. The truth that yoga revealed to me is to know myself and accept what I can do to be my foundation to move forward to what I can develop to achieve better movements, better perspective, better life. The journey like any other journey in life is not as smooth as some may expect, there are sacrifices, body pains (as well as purging emotional pains), and the battle for time to do the practice versus what I have to be doing, but even if all of these are present in a day, showing up will always be worth it because that is like telling ourselves, "I am here, trying to be better even if I am not perfect." This was hands down one of my favourite YWA practices. It was so short but had everything you'd need in it - meditative sitting and breathing and some action. I came to the mat full of unpleasant thoughta and emotions and now I feel so rejuvenated and easier. Thank you Adriene!

It took me two hours to build momentum to start this video. I felt so comfortable standing infront of the space heater. The firehydrant like moves didnt hurt for the first time today. Happy i showed up for MOTIVATE day 2.

Blessed Beloved Beauties, and Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend?! I wasn't present for our virtual classes over the weekend. However, I was studying with my other yoga teacher. Expand Day - 24 is always balancing and calming. This is a great session for an internal massage of the cells, muscles, organs, and nerves. Felt really tempted to do a longer practice, even though I don't have that much time today. Had to tell myself that less can be more. I really enjoyed the crescent lunges today, I felt stable and strong :)

This was exactly what I needed today. Christmas has become a little difficult for me in recent years and when I become overwhelmed getting to the mat feels so much harder. I'm sure we can all relate here. Today, 25th December my head and heart had the reset it needed. I always say yoga brings a little more peace to your soul every single day. When you're out of the practice you can't possibly understand what nourishment that actually is. Until the raging tsunami within you is now a peaceful stream trickling over the pebbles. This practice with my dear virtual friend Adriene (and Benji!) settled my soul and will allow me to witness the tiny specks of joy in the day today. Not focusing on the past, the future, what I don't currently have. Just being. I wish you all a sense of calm and peace today, to whatever degree you can manage. 🖤

DELIGHT😆 - July 2024 I delight in the recharging of my systems as I partake in the art of yoga. So lovely to regulate and find balance within my brain + body again as I wind down for the evening. One thing that I love so much about yoga is it’s ability to put tiny, minor stresses that feel larger than they are into perspective by connecting with my presence and the bigger picture whilst releasing all that no longer serves and welcoming in the positive energy and light that my spirit deserves and needs to move forward lovingly and peacefully. This feeling of lightness as I step off the mat today is one of the many reasons I partake in this wonderful practice and return to it daily. I hope you have all had a lovely beginning to your week’s! Namaste beautiful yogi friends🙏💓✨🤗 xx

I'm a little sad and anxious. Someone I love is struggling, and there is little I can do other than offer support. It would have been easy to skip this practice tonight, but I felt that it would be important for my healing and strength. I felt a bit dizzy...afterwards...but it may be also because...we women at certain times...have special needs;-). So I tried Alternate nostril breathing afterwards, I felt still a bit dizzy but more peaceful, now I had two pieces of fudge...:-) always helps:-D and after I have my breakfast I am sure I will be quite fine:-) Thank you!💗

I am a scuba diver and have 20 pounds extra weight my body as mostly man are tight and I am trying to lose weight and have more flexible for rest of my life I love balancing and my wish one do can be buoyant as I am under water usually with little pivot point since few days keep practicing and attending local yoga class in my gym feel awesome I would like to say Thank you Adrienne

i've been having a lot of anxiety around not managing to practice daily. It's been over a week since I did any yoga, but I managed to start again today. Halfway through I wanted to stop, and instead of pushing forward, I practiced kindness towards myself, and stopped. 10 minutes was enough today, and I listened. I feel like I'm back on my journey again.

It was interesting at the beginning you said something that made me feel like I should start a distance Reiki session for all those who needed it. At the need of the session you said we always do a session that we need. I am doing a separate stretch session before yoga and every time I work on my hip flexibility we end up doing the same stretches during YWA!

This is my second practice of the day, back to back and I feel so proud of myself. Usually I'm one and done and move on with my day but something told me to do the next and so I trusted myself. I feel tired now energetically - I could feel energy moving through me but that's okay. That's all part of the process. TRUST!

Blessed Beloved Beauties! Embody Yogis Day 15: This is a juicy practice. I've done it several times. It's perfect for today to aid in reclaiming my groove. This week has been organic and I return to a schedule tomorrow, so a balancing routine is a nudge in the proper direction. Also, I practice alternate nostril breathing daily, so that will kick-start my meditation 🧘🏾‍♀️ before calisthenics, weight 💪🏾 training and running. 🏃🏿‍♀️ Best wishes everyone! Namaste & Ase! 🦋❤🦋
