I laughed at your “you’re probably more conditioned than me” statement, as I sit in my sofa drinking a coffee watching you slog your guts out. 😂 I will get back to some level of fitness soon and will follow you back in to the burpees. - just need to get over my golfer’s elbow first! 😬 Looking good mate and glad to see you back in the burpees 👊🏻

Don’t beat yourself up I’m still struggling with getting consistent past 60 reps in 20 minutes for BDT’s 80 rep milestone. Did 55 today, not my best but certainly not the worst 💪

WTF DUDE!? As you approach that 50 year line being able to do this type of stuff is going to matter much more than a little more size or strength.

Great post , I'm coming 62 and dropped gym for calisthenic workouts last September what an eye opener ,grinding 4 times a week at home is a great leveller & hell at times, No show pony's allowed. Learning from people like yourself... keep up the great work.

you're way more accomplished at burpees than i am, and your channel has 50x my subscribers. but, i found a way to work navy seals that give you a slight break, i call them compound burpees. you add in some squats and knee strikes between navy seals. you might find them useful in getting back to your prior fitness level.

haha loving this long live seals! 😂🦭🦭🦭 they always take you back to reality still much respect brother i know this wil light up that fire even more!🔥🔥🔥🫡

Great effort mate.. but you don't need to gas yourself like that, proper gasping and punishing yourself, especially since you said you're just getting back into it. If you watch Iron Wolf, he paces himself and does it for an hour or so.. tortoise over the hare and aw thar pish. Unless this was an all out max effort on purpose to see where you are at haha
@adeelali8417Күн бұрын
I agree with this. Take your time man build up slowly over a series of weeks. You want to be able to sustain this and these workouts look so intense!

Does look brutal, but like you said you know what you have to do , I had a break and I'm still catching back up on my wee level

Gonna try this with my crappy exercise bike. Don't usually put these 2 together (Navy Seals and bike sprints). Will probably be horrible--but brilliant! Cheers and props to you for this!

Thought about a bike, then realised that living in a 16 story building, ii have access to free cardio killer, just getting up those stairs in quick time. Normally do it before and after a run, as a chaser. Thinking about doing a set of burpees, then leaving flat, heac to the top, few sets of press ups and down again. Rinse and repeat 4-5 times mixed in with home workout.

I can't complete more than 50 burpees. My shoulder joint starts to hurt, but it's not the usual muscle soreness. It feels like a sharp, acute pain, and I have to stop, even if I don't feel particularly tired.

Bang on the money, Lee! Totally agree with your take on this. There comes a point in life where you realise there are choices to be made. Some choices will lead to premature illness, others will promote health and hopefully a longer healthspan. Especially important in Scotland, where we don’t have great health statistics compared with other countries!

125 is absolutely rock solid, dude. Back on the burpee grind myself, asthma playing up in the cold and easing into it with 80 in 20 mins. Hope to hit 200 by the time the spring weather rolls in 💪. The burpee community is so freakin' positive, everyone here is a beast

How about doing the burpees on the knuckels instead,- now that the wrists don't like 'em...is that even a viable solution?
@dougthebuilder13 күн бұрын
Yeah I do them on the knuckles on the rubber matting at the gym, you get a deeper pressup and can bring your legs back through at the end of the rep without bending them, this feels like a harder ab workout. Also toughens your knuckles up too
