Well, the entire imperial fleet was not at endor, only vaders death squadron. The old EU does a far better job of handling the post endor events. The battle of endor was pivotal because the emperor and vader were killed, the death star II destroyed, thus leaving the empire with ambitious politicians and career officers. The empire was fractured, but not destroyed. The new republic could form only because of the empires fractured state. It was many years (ten i think) before a final peace treaty was signed between the new republic and the imperial remnant.

Watching this review again 2 years after the fact and it’s still a million times more entertaining than anything Disney has produced.
