Dude, you do not know what we did watch over years. This is type of B 2005~2010 movie. For what it is, it is OK. Today, in current atmosphere it is A-, because all good franchises turned into crap over past 5 years. Would it be released in 1985, in days of Alien and Predator movies, it would not be considered "great". It would be OK for Television and VHS. Times change. Chance of getting brutal sci-fi today is pretty low.

TV has all but destroyed the cinematic vision. Before TV. Before commercials. Scenes were as long as they needed to be and there was a beauty in how the scenes would transition from one focal story beat to the next. It was like a dance, a song, but not what they make today. What was unsaid was as important as what was. Now they throw everything on the table and then try to sort it in some fashion that resembles a story board.

Watched this movie with family. We all had a good time. We even discussed the future of AI and technology afterwards. Would say this movie is quality and I would recommend. About J.Lo's acting...Found it impressive and reflective of current sentiments. We live in times where people feel anxiety and distrust towards technology, and I think J.Lo expressed this quite well. Maybe her most dramatic performance to date. On the negative side...The antagonists plan was nonsense. If humanity destroying each other and the environment is the problem, then I don't see how nuking the earth would help. If AI was so capable, then why couldn't they just decide to help us restore order and the environment? Seems like that would be more effective.

Wife and i watched it over breakfast. It was therapy sessions broken up by video game cutscenes. She likes JLo..I like SciFi...so it's a whatever movie. Tje mech suits in Matrix 3 (20yo movie) were better animated, looked heavier heavier, and were more detailed. And thays actually a good sci fi series (matrix4 doesn't count)

True that, I was born in 87, I was drinkin beer and talking to girls when phantom manace came out, disappointed we got a prequal instead of a fourth installment to the original trilogy, and argued Star Wars was more concerned about profit when they went with the prequels marketed to a child/family audience. I did like the requels after watching, would have prefered them better with a more mature writing in the script and structure, for release to a mature audience rating and/or Parental advisory.

The movie was just pure trash. And Jennifer Lopez is an aging actress that has long since been washed up, who was never really that good of an actor to begin with. It's about as bad as Arcadian with its Quiet Place ripoff. It's like they're all trying to get in on these knock off movies, but what it really shows is just how burnt out Hollywood is. They have no original ideas anymore, and they can't even make the regurgitated stuff good.

Ungentlemanly Warfare and Boy Kills World sure changed things up a bit. We need more movies like this.

When I see the first trailer of this film I immediately thought that the concept of this mechs was rubbish, I didn't think I was that right. Physicaly moving legs and arms works in Pacific Rim because they are piloting 100 meters tall mechs with synchronised movements. Here we have a mix between Pacific Rim and Titanfall mechs concepts and I hate the result 😅

I tried watching this, got about 30 minutes in and was like "yea this doesn't seem like itll ever get good" then turned it off.
