It’s funny because in the whole entire Bible there’s nothing that says you will go to hell for denying the crucifixion or divinity of Jesus. The same way to go to hell in the original gospel is the same in Judaism and Islam, associating partners with God or worshipping false deities. Also accepting Jesus as the messiah would be a condition for Christians and Muslims but no concrete proof for the crucifixion claim

4:46 if I were to say it is a method of control, I would probably say that on the basis of keeping people in their respective social classes using religious doctrine, for example in Hinduism under the caste system, deviating from your caste is frowned upon because you are going against your dharma which in turn gives you bad karma which puts you one step further from reuniting with brahmin, this can also be seen in Christianity, where it is said that the kingdom of god Luke 6:20-21 will be inherited by the poor which according to my history teacher, makes it a religion that attracts the poor which I agree with however it also incentivizes poor people staying poor for infinite reward in heaven so it serves this similar purpose. I would not go as far as to say that the original mythology and such were invented but I will go as far to say that it could’ve been modified by the powerful to maintain their power. I would also like to point out how vastly more successful these religions that do these things are than the mentioned religions that don’t allow control like Buddhism, so like you said these religions go through natural selection and the success of religions with hierarchies could be a showing of the at the very least temporary or historically specific stability that these religions provide

the problem with christianity is that if you don't do things like this, you think you're being unfaithful and a bad person, because, who cares if what your saying is harmful/not true, if it converts them then you've done the right thing, because does it matter the harm you're doing now if it saves them from eternal damnations?
