Since I found your channel, I’m trying to put more effort into my own videos. I love the quality of your videos, the calming music and the way you tell a story with your videos through changing camera angles . How I can be even slightly better with every video I do. Your channel has been very helpful to me as I just moved to Japan. While most of the ingredients aren't new to me, some are (salt koji) and its been great learning from you. Your relaxing videos have been a great comfort lately! Now if I can figure out how to use the fish grill properly lol!! 😂

Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I’m really happy to hear that my channel has been helpful as you settle into life in Japan. As for the fish grill, it can definitely take some practice! A little tip: start with a low heat to see how it cooks, then gradually turn up the heat as needed. This way, you can avoid burning it while getting it just right. Wishing you lots of success with Japanese cooking!

Don't mean to be dumb but what the heck is sea chicken? I keep seeing this in people's videos but they never explain what it is? Or hiw it got the name? As I highly doubt that it us real chicken that live in the sea , I could be wrong but I think I'm not. But who knows 🤔 🤷🏻♀️🤔

Sea Chicken doesn’t actually mean chicken. It’s a product name for Japanese canned tuna in oil, and similar products are often called that. As you mentioned, it’s a pretty strange name! If you’re curious, detailed information about the ingredients is also provided in the video description, so feel free to check it out.
I'm really enjoying watching your older videos! I cannot seem to find the episode in which you use shio koji in a lot of your recipes. Can you please tell me which episode that is? Thank you so much!!

Thank you 😊 The video that uses a lot of Shio koji is currently private for a reason. Sorry. There are many different recipes for koji, so I'll introduce them to you next time.
We always remove the skin of chayote.we use it in curries as it doesnot have a taste on its own. Another innovative way is make chayote french fries with peri peri toppings. Its a must in our household to remove the skin.
