This is different from reduced breathing right? Can i do both for long covid recovery?

I don't quite get it; so definitely had more saliva in my mouth, but is that (because of your channel name) also buteyko or not? I have to hold my breath a bit when I exhale because I can't breathe out through my nose for that long. If not, what is the difference and can you make a video of buteyko with gongs? Unfortunately, your buteyko videos don't help me as a beginner and I have more tense arms and hands since I've been doing buteyko (even for just 5 minutes)...

No I think puffing your breath helps brain fog more not just holding your breath. It must be related to your brain pressure

There are so many covid patients that have autoimmune ensefalite and inflamation issues but doctors simply tell people it is conversion. This must be stopped and we should find a cure for this. Medical system failing us. I am doctor myself,I literrally gave up on being doctor after getting long covid plus autoimmune ensefalite. Everyone said it was conversion until one doctor believed me. It is just we should find a cure for this. This is unacceptable. Also guys please take aspirin or paracetamol when you have viral infection. It will stop your bodyfrom overreacting.

Feels like the way I breathe when meditating or doing OBE. Resets the vagus nerve and brings about a very peaceful, centered feeling. Breathing into the abdomen is very important to success with this method. Too many people breathe only into the chest, which is a symptom of fight or flight sympathetic nervous system activation, because they live in a state of perpetual stress. Good video. Thank you. ☮️❤️🙏

I have tried something like this in yoga, so many times over the years, and my mind starts to wander every freaking time. I recently got adhd diagnosis and it kinda explains why meditating is so difficult for me. Do you have any advice for neurodivergent people like me?

I find it fascinating how techniques that are essentially centuries old, such as this one that most meditators would be aware of, can become very white-euro-centric. What you call the Buteyko Breathing is the characteristic mediative/yogi 'slower, less deep breath' that has been known and practised for thousands of years. In either case, just putting it out there. Because yes this helps. It is a meditation technique,or rather a phase in most all meditation practices. Some call it the life-energy control, that reinforces and revitalises subtle currents of life energy (prana) in the spine and brain. The breath influences the mind and vice-versa. This reciprocal relationship reveals the secret of controlling the mind: Breath control is self-control.

I first came across this concept with WimHof breathing. Although I don't support a lot of his more extreme claims, it's incredibly effective for the same reasons. Temporary air hunger forces the heart to relax and conserve and your whole parasympathetic system kicks in. Thank you for this video. The more we know, talk and share the better.

I think the reason the dying patients breathed more is because oxygen = life force, they weren't doing it deliberately or consciously to harm themselves

This video is what really started my fascination in the world of breathing and what exactly happens when we practice these types of methods. From all the research I’ve continued to do since then, what I’ve found is that the main healing component to all of this is the levels of carbon dioxide in your body and how it builds up. This leads me to my question: Anders Olsson has a machine called the carbohaler. It basically allows you to breathe with regulated amounts of co2. Wouldn’t this theoretically take someone out of a sympathetic-dominant state and allow their parasympathetic side to kick in through this biohacking method which in turn will heal their limbic system followed by everything else?

It kind of makes sense because oxygen is actually poisonous... Hence all the hype about antioxidants etc. Obviously you need oxygen to live but yeah, less is more?

This was an interesting method, and I'll try it going forward when doing meditation. When I've tried other meditation breathing techniques (big breaths and/or long exhalations via the mouth) I feel my heart race and it causes me to tense up - this, however, allowed me to stay relaxed.

Ever since I had covid a couple years ago I've had anxiety which seems to respond to buteyko breathing. But when I go jogging i get bad symptoms of vertigo or a dizziness feeling. Could that be caused by over breathing? Do people exercise with their mouth closed?

Hi- thanks for your account and videos! Coming across this account has been really helpful. I have hyperventilation syndrome and am constantly trying to yawn or get that satisfying breath and it’s taking over my life and has been. I can’t sleep and get in vicious cycles of hyperventilation. Sometimes when I do this video I feel a bit of relaxation and relief but then when I lie down and go back to doing something normal like reading or watching tv all I can focus on is nouth breathing and getting that big satisfying yawn which again starts the horrible cycle where I need that every 15 seconds. How do I save myself. Is it just a matter of doing this video like a million times a day over and over so eventually my body doesn’t need these so called big breaths anymore. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! love the vids and hoping they can help me stop torturing myself for good once and for all.

I breathe like this automatically and often find that I'm underbreathing and end up too relaxed. It does keep my stress pretty low but i have to artificially increase it via caffeine or exercise.

This worse for 100%. I am doing Buteyko Breathing for 5 years and it was the only treatment that helped me. I especially recommend it to anybody with physiological or neurological problems. You will be surprised how well it works. Just get your control pause beyond 30 seconds.

Do you have to hold your nose? So breath normal for 10 sec and hold for 5 secs? Do it for 5 mins? Breath normal sovas to remain calm?
@thebuteykomethod
@thebuteykomethod 4 күн бұрын
Hey Kev, no need to hold the nose. Just to clarify the technique: Normal gentle in-breath, normal gentle out-breath to residual capacity, then hold your breath for 3-5 seconds. Then breathe normally for 10-15 seconds. Repeat for 5 minutes or until your symptoms subside. Don't breathe in or out during the breath hold. Don't forcefully exhale or push your breath out, the out breath should be passive. Hope that helps 👍

You have to tell about CO2 in the body to those who believe the narrative of ckimate change due to co2 and that we have to produce zero co2 . Crazy bcs trees and plants need co2 to thrive so they can produce oxygen. Thank you for your breathing techniques based on less oxygen my love from Greece 🥰
