Hey quick question I use the grimberg solid balls and the vrx grimberg projectiles, but when I load the clip it sometimes shoots 2 balls/vrx at first. So does that have something to do with the clip / spring I know the springs have two different colors red and green
@ScaredyCatTacticalКүн бұрын
Shooting 2 balls is usually a detent problem. Check those first and upgrade to a stiffer plastic if necessary. The red spring is stronger and I’ve never had problems using it with the heavier projectiles.

@ScaredyCatTactical3 күн бұрын
Luckily they are easy enough to disassemble and check. I would take it apart and check the regulator spring pad o-rings if it's leaking out the back. Give that area some fresh silicone grease which will last a lot longer than oil. If you did a delete of the pressure relief valve in the spring pad then maybe make sure it is still intact.
@ronp15244 күн бұрын
I have a leak. It’s not the out the barrel one. 1) If it isn’t the clear O ring at the top of the tank, is there a next likely leak source? 2) If it is the clear one on top of the tank can I replace it with a black standard O ring?
@ScaredyCatTactical4 күн бұрын
The top tank o-ring is very strong polyurethane and you can use them from any paintball supplier. It is important however that it be one designed for HPA tanks. It's a non-moving part that is under very high pressure and polyurethane is perfect for those.

@ScaredyCatTactical4 күн бұрын
Like you pocket pepper spray every day hasn't changed for me. I did some measurements of the Byrna SD and although they call it a "compact" launcher, it's taller and wider than the Glock 17 gen 5 .43 cal which is a replica of a full-size firearm. It's that kind of disparity in size that frustrates me because I want a real compact to sub-compact less lethal option. Big and bulky + lots of hype = consumers that aren't satisfied.

This concept is good : a flashlight combined with laser aiming launcher, *but* , it would be great if it is powerful flashlight (>1000 lumens, >75000 candelas for ex) *and* a decent power (16 to 20 joules), so it could blind and shoot. The trigger must be improved. Seem to be adapted to distances up to 15 feet.

I purchased steel balls for my Byrna LE but am not convinced they pack more punch than the Kinetic balls Byrna sells. Metal is likely to be the best call on a hard surface like ice, but they don't fire at the same speed as the kinetic due to weight. Good test - Good video.

Great points. There is a sweet spot for weight. Too light and you underutilize the air that's available. Just right and you maximize Joules. Too heavy and it becomes counterproductive at some point. Let's start with the good take ways. It is a Glock 17 replica. If an assailant gets close with a knife and demands your possessions, if you are nimble enough to avoid a knife thrust/slash, and reach for and draw the T4e Glock, the robber will run. If you fire it, it would be best "NOT" to hit the assailant, as he will know it is a glorified bb gun. BB's /117 cal pellets will penetrate or break lots of "hard" things. These guns will just enrage a person if hit. LL folks need to go out on the mean streets and ask themselves as they pass various rough characters, if they pull a knife on you, how comfortable are you that your LL will save the day. In the home theorizing, or, breaking or penetrating things creates false reality in our minds. It probably is not possible with air, but, a smaller Gavle, or more powerful Byrna is the ideal LL CC. Thanks again for all you do.

My thing on this for a while now has been that many people carry a little mouse guns that are only a little more powerful and even bigger guns don’t work all the time so why not? Also, this is the same kind of valve as a BB/pellet gun, which can be pre-pierced for several days and it gets more powerful when you do that and carry it on person. Maybe that’s your next test :-)
@ScaredyCatTactical11 күн бұрын
Yes, pocket pistols are a thing and serve a purpose sometimes, maybe even as a backup firearm. Same could apply for less lethal launchers. I really don't carry any launcher on-body yet. The Glock 17 is way smaller than my TCP or any of the even larger options out there (Salt Supply S2, Umarex revolvers, etc.). So maybe it does have a niche. I like how the air-chamber is self-contained within the mag and if the mag ever fails and cannot be fixed, it just requires a new mag purchase.

I agree that the Gavle or my TCP would destroy the ice, probably on one shot, and would be more effective up close or at distance. But this is much more non-lethal and way easier to carry. Right now I'm just testing and the viewers can decide. I hope this was helpful, especially for those outside the USA who are limited to 7 Joules.
@Joreel11 күн бұрын
True, but it's nowhere near as expensive as a Gavle or FSC. It'd have to recommend the S2 over the Gavle or FSC simply because it's still powerful and it's half the price which is what will matter most to new less lethal customers. The new Lancer Tactical Higos will be a 35 Joule launcher for only two hundred dollars when it comes out next month.

You are right. A few years ago, I asked people whether they'd prefer a VKS or a CQMF with some additional money for accessories. Everyone chose the VKS, but I disagreed with their choice. Now the M17 is the preferred option, but people are misusing it just like they did with the VKS. It's not wise to operate the M17 at over 100 Joules.
@ScaredyCatTactical13 күн бұрын
Yes, I agree about the M17. I also debated between the M17 and the VKS before my purchase. Ultimately, I was concerned that the M17 required lots of air (1100 PSI tank) to achieve 40ish Joules where the VKS could shoot at 40ish very efficiently and have many more shots left over. But the M17 has proven to be reliable even at those pressures. I do agree that no paintball marker will run long-term at 100 Joules. It's a big gamble with your life holding a device like that up to your head and hoping for the best.
