Totally agree the laws are often too incomprehensible for common people to understand them. Worse yet, they are sometimes so difficult to understand that legislators don't bother to read them before voting to approve them. That is one reason I'm generally against voting for lawyers as legislators. This country doesn't need more legalese or bloated laws. I believe our country needs a good businessman who will be able to help us on the way to getting out of debt.

Thanks for sharing. It's frightening to see many people only know information that is shared in 30 second, heavily edited soundbites. And how people think that a ban of guns would somehow fix the problems of society.

Thank you for commenting Courtney. You've stumped Prometheus. He's trying to think of something clever to say. @@BookZealots while I did have some knitting skills from home-ec in 5th, 8th, and 9th grades, it was really, really basic and I taught myself in my early 20's. I've been told I have poor form, but I get the job done and the sweaters, hats and mitts were gift worthy. Since I moved to NC, I've only made dish cloths. My daughter learned machine sewing and needlework for badges in American Heritage Girls. She since has made clothes for herself and her sister and a few gifts. I laugh to think what these women would have to say about Prometheus crocheting and holding the tension with his toes? 🤣 He made scarves for soldiers one year for homeschool. Of course we washed everything before we mailed them. But form? I'm more worried about tension and then reading patterns. Is your husband an artist? My step father's family is extremely talented. The home-ec teacher that was there forever retired a couple years after I graduated. My husband is a composer/ musician. His degree is in composition but he can play many instruments. I will definitely look up your husband's music. My uncle Ken is a musician and he writes music too. He's not a good singer though. IMO. LOL And he draws. I lived in San Diego and had only been to Texas for a week when I was ten. 🤷‍♀️ That's what I thought about the potato plants, but we've grown red potatoes before and the flowers were white. I've never heard of pickled green tomatoes. Did your 12 year enjoy the process? I hope they are delicious. Blessings to you too and please let me know how your neighbors are and your family. Oh, about Tess. I'm at the part I think your husband might be referring to. It's very vague, but because of what grows later, we know what Alec D'Urberville did.

Without Elon Musk there wouldn't be internet, but if people don't have cell phones or computers, because they were washed away in the flooding, how are they supposed to do that? I bet her stories were so interesting! My maternal grandfather was born in 1914. His parents came over from Odessa around 1912. He’d talk about how it was noisy lol There were several siblings and he loved to read and would escape to a corner of the apartment with his buttered bread and read. ❤ One of his stories I loved to envision when he told it was the ice man who would carry the ice up the many floors of the building. Amazing times. He didn’t mention playing in the street - sounds like his mother tried to keep them close and in a lot. They ventured as kids do. lol I played outside of course - it was the 70s lol I dug in the dirt - planted rocks for some reason - and ride my big wheels and later my bike all over :)

I am not surprised you're changing your mind about moving south. Less upheaval is better, in my opinion... unless you're Abraham hearing God telling you to move west permanently. Somehow you will manage. Due to life circumstances Im looking for his next caretaker 🥲. Currently living a short distance from NYC, there is a definite exodus going on. So much so that Im being pushed out of the area we've called home since 2000. I require space (mostly to think) and thats just not possible here anymore. The density is having a noticeable effect on my mental health. The kindness and etiquette the locals once had has completely evaporated. On to greener pastures! For the best really.
