In English, sometimes parents will refer to the other spouse as mama/papa/etc, also when talking about the other parent to the child to kinda be in their shoes. In my family my mom often has said to me 'where's daddy?' or 'daddy will be back in a bit.' but she'll only use that when talking to me or my sibling about our dad, she never uses it with others and never specifies '/your/ dad'. Like wise my dad will do the same with 'momma' - 'where's momma at?' Though, this is very specific to the area of the south I grew up in - I don't know many other dialects that are as casual, since I've been made fun of using momma/daddy still ^^;;
