45:00 regarding AI - how is what AI is doing, different to what a human does? We all grow up listening to music, learning the language, learning song lyrics - and we all repeat those things we have learned whenever we create something new. Now clearly, if someone regurgitated the exact lyrics to another song, we ought to realise what we are doing and know it is wrong - but lets take someone deliberately referencing and paying tribute to another artist or work by using an exact line ? Eg Ren in his Nas half time retake track uses the line “sleep is the cousin of death” - he also uses it in another track. It is not a “copyright infringement” to do that, as it is part of a new transformative work. So what we are talking about is not a black and white right or wrong, but about a nuanced judgement as to if repeating something is “copying” or “inspired by”. Yes, the AI needs to realise it has regurgitated the exact same lyrics as a previous work, bit even that can be justified - if someone wanted to do a parody work, then including a chunk of the original verbatim might be valid - but the AI ought to make sure it is clear when it is doing this. I would argue that if the AI is specifically asked to provide lyrics “like” a specific artist or song, it is doing what a human would also do - give back things that mirror the artist/work they were asked to mimic. The issue is only then what someone does with what they have been given. If you go to an artist and ask them to reproduce Van Gough sunflowers, there is no crime in you asking that, or them doing that. It would only be if you claimed it to be original/real or produced mass copies for sale, that it becomes an issue. Same with music. I could as a lyricist to “give me lyrics like Prince” and they could give me back something that is 90% the same as 1999 - that is all entirely legal. So why is having AI take the role of the human, any different under the law? The alternative is that every human has to second guess every single thing they create and search some data base see if it is ok. We had the same issue with software - where writing code is also creative work. My analogy is it is like a painter copyrighting the use of blue paint on canvas. Now every artist has to check if they are using too much blue and could be claimed to be copying someone. For me, copyright needs to include intent and knowingly - otherwise it makes the law an ass.

There are two other frauds not addressed by this lawsuit (yet). Honey advertises that it gets you the best coupon code available, but it actually gives you the worst on purpose, as a way to attract support from the sellers. And then, they offer a service to the sellers for a fee, whereby the seller can browse through the coupon database and determine which coupons should be offered or disqualified from use. This further corrupts the whole point of what Honey promises to the consumer who has installed the browser extension. It's a triple fraud.

The music my A-i created for my poems was based on the structure of each poem i applied it to, not someone elses song. They dont sound anything like anyone's copyrighted material. I believe i should rightfully be able to copyright and use the music i paid for, so long as it is not a copy of someone elses song. The examples you gave were obvious copies, both lyrically and musicly, so they should be sued. But thats not the case with my poems or the music which is created by the structure of my poetry. Why is A-i learning how to create songs from listening to copyrighted songs any different than what people do, other than humans are biological lifeforms? Did the Beatles not learn how to write songs by listening to copyrighted songs by Buddy Holly, Elvis, Little Richard, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry and others? You may be on the mark with your side thoughts about major labels, already using their own AI systems. They may have been using them for longer than we can imagine. This would explain why Timbaland would side with this innovative source... I would bet that Timbaland has already been thrown out by major labels due to these already used (in the public domain) AI sources. How would we know. When would they tell us. genus is enough to get you that description box in msn. msn can be a challenge to get into but with "Dexter U.S." + music or band or whatever it created a box that listed the apple page.. Would be good to hear other tricks because I may not be seen as notable. Google is much less of a fight to get into and those questions can be somewhat controversial.

As well, allows (currently) 89% botted plays due to the fact that (all) major labels bot plays. I was advised by an intellect in the 90's to study music law when I began recording.
