Happy birthday, Mike! Thank you for your creativity! It changed my attitude towards music. And Tubular Bells 2 paints the most vivid pictures in my imagination. I would really like to talk with you, but, unfortunately, apparently this is not destined to come true ...

I love this tune but over the years they have done this so many different ways that it's starting to get on my nerves Jesus Christ how many songs or Tunes has Michael oldfield wrote just one, give me a break, Oldfield is awesome but goddamn it's time to put Tubular Bells on the shelf, go on put it up there right next to Gene Simmons and kiss, for Christ's sake I love it but jeez wheeze people

Back to bell bottom blue jeans, 1968 Camaro , and 8-track ! I just had Quadruple Heart Bypass and discovered I haven't subscribed to Mike Oldfield channel ! In high school all some students played tubular bells on the piano , and that is the only number they knew. Time is good

Mike, we are the same age. I’ve loved you as much as someone can love a “stranger” since the moment I knew about you. I’ve also loved your music. It’s an all encompassing soul love and it’s never dwindled. It’s good to say these things while we are still around. I read you supported DT and wanted to say you can be assured he has no love for you and I mean NONE. That is all I will say about that. Much appreciation to you for all you’ve added to our little planet with your time, talent, and gifts to us. It’s not wasted on so many of us.

@@hettybrekelmans2816 I'm pretty sure he means the Trumpulator, but I have not heard any such statement from Mike. I'd like to be pointed to a source. EDIT: Unfortunately, I looked it up, and it's right in his Wikipedia article. That was just a few months into his presidency although his horrible statements were all well known at that point. Well...

I have followed you since I was seven years old, I keep a hard LP copy of your great work, now 55 years old, I can assure you that you were, together with Beethoven and Schubert, the ones who started my musical education and a very wide diversity of knowledge, after the steps of all these years in which I have not lost the thread, I never stop listening and studying your compositions, teaching them to those around me so that they are amazed and also start from their own musical education, you have given musical education to millions of people and has been part of my current training not only musical but diverse.
