Not a fan of the Kidult either. It's too startling. I prefer to relax at home in a soothing environment.

My parents used to put up our whole tree and presents while we were sleeping on Christmas Eve. Like Santa had done it. But the whole fam would pull out all the lights and things on Black Friday.

Oooh Nick, tell that to the photographer that makes his living capturing amazing shots around the world - making a name for himself besides $. I have been to the Netherlands and when I saw the Amsterdam black & white picture when it first came out I bought it for my daughter’s dorm room. Many years later she still has it hanging. She respects the artists skill. Highcleer Castle in England has a beautiful large black and white scene captured no doubt by someone with that same skill. Lady Carnarvan has it in her office. Don’t be such a snob. I’ve seen a lot of ikea knock offs in your home. You have many talents but you do the arts an unkind favor.

Re: a design book Have you seen the book your Guide To Not Getting Murdered in a Quaint English Village? It’s cute and snarky and full of cute cartoons about all the ways people get killed in British murder mysteries- tv and books- where more people get killed in the series than actually live in the village. I could see you doing something fun like that. Does that make sense? Hope so. Basically showing people what NOT to do. It could be fun just like your videos.

For some reason I just recoil from that "mother of pearl" paint finish or dishes or - whatever. I more than dont like it LOL High gloss? yes

Why cant this guy put far more pictures while he's yammering on? Just say one sentence and start the b-roll of examples as he clicks into a thumbnail in the corner for the rest of his rambling dialogue? Win win

So, the way the dating question just morphed into a conversation about thruples, I’m guessing there’s a very interesting backstory to that! You’re an amazing person, Nick, and he’ll come along, probably when you least expect it. In the meantime, keep making videos and living your best life!

You should do a design cookbook! Something where you walk through design styles and what the “ingredients” of good design are

I've never actually known anyone to tear down and rebuild. Of course Ive seen it, but from afar. Sounds so fascinating, from utility locations to any hidden weirdnesses. We hope if and when you document the highs and lows!

I think a design cookbook could be really cool to be honest. You could choose a few styles with a few rooms and give a walkthrough on how to achieve that e.g. recipe for japandi livingroom (what to look for, which colours/textures to choose, how to mix and match etc)

About your design book, have you seen the Tibi creative pragmatist book by Amy Smilovic? It is full of fashion style principles and there are sketches explaining each one. Would be great to have something similar for design.

Uhhmmm putting Christmas decorations up before December is just weird. Christmas decor shouldn’t be up for more than 1/12th of the year.

Wood is amazing, but only in the right tone. The same wood can look horrible in yellowing tones but high end and classy in cold browns and washes with gray and other tinted washes and finishes. To stain wood is super easy dont be afraid to try!❤

Most of us in the UK try not to put up decorations before the 1st December. We take them down on 12th Night. I'm never sure if that's the 5th or the 6th January, but it's considered unlucky to leave them up past then. Personally, I think Christmas stuff looks sad and tawdry after Boxing Day, but I leave up the cards and lights. I wasn't going to have a tree this year, but my husband wanted one, so he did it all. Really hope we can get it down before it drives me crazy in January!
