For those trying to land their first IT job, I think school district jobs are the easiest to get. They may not pay well, but at least you can put that on your resume to show at least you have 1 or 2 years under your belt then you leave.
@addacdd

I wouldn't say easiest. I have a IT degree and had 6 months experience and could not land a IT entry help desk at my local school district K-12. I took their exam passed it and then went into a round table interview. I did this twice before covid and during covid. The competition was still fierce as it is today. I believe a few Sr. Devs who were laid off dropped down to entey IT help desk and applied then got the job.

I have worked in tech since 1994. 99 percent of the folks I've worked with did it for a paycheck not passion. The passion thing is something the managers and investors came up with to get free labor out of tech workers. It was and always will be BS.

@Itcareerquestions
@Itcareerquestions 4 күн бұрын
Ask it to break down any questions you have, explain things further, ask it to give you sample questions about specific topics, ask it to give you example projects in a specific topic, there are many possibilities. If you're studying for a certification, upload the syllabus from the certification and ask it to create sample questions, flash cards, example lab scenarios. I could keep going, it's a great tool to help you learn.

Build a home lab and create projects, document them, blog them, share what you learned as LinkedIn articles. Start showing verifiable examples of experience. Build an Active Directory home lab, learn about AD and ticketing systems...if you're interested in cybersecurity take this lab a step further and learn how you can compromise that lab to gain administrator access like a hacker would - and document that! then share what you learned as a blog or article on linkedin or share that as a comment on someone else's post. Get yourself out there.

Been at HelpDesk for 4 years. Just got promoted to Sys Engineer. Got my Sec+ last year in June, completing the CompTia trifecta. From November/Dec to current, I have been putting in resumes to other places trying to find something in Security, because after taking my Sec+, I realized I want to be on Sec Def. I'm still looking, I am still trying to learn as my knowledge continues to expand, looking into going for my CySA+. But what is the answer to the question, "Will Cybersecurity ever become entry level again?" Because even with all my experience and knowledge, I feel like I'm not getting anywhere because I don't have the work experience in a security position, just work experience handling different security procedures.

Very precise which is what lots here have rightly appreciated, but none of will help if you have no device output sources to run a cable lead to your TV input source, which is the only part of this video that confuses me, you keep saying from your laptop or PC "input" to your TV "input" (1:27 + 1:37) how can that be? A HDMI lead will surely only work from output to input, not from input to input?

The antitrust laws prohibit conduct by a single firm that unreasonably restrains competition by creating or maintaining monopoly power. Most Section 2 claims involve the conduct of a firm with a leading market position, although Section 2 of the Sherman Act also bans attempts to monopolize and conspiracies to monopolize. As a first step, courts ask if the firm has "monopoly power" in any market. This requires in-depth study of the products sold by the leading firm, and any alternative products consumers may turn to if the firm attempted to raise prices. Then courts ask if that leading position was gained or maintained through improper conduct-that is, something other than merely having a better product, superior management or historic accident. Here courts evaluate the anticompetitive effects of the conduct and its procompetitive justifications. Market Power Courts do not require a literal monopoly before applying rules for single firm conduct; that term is used as shorthand for a firm with significant and durable market power - that is, the long term ability to raise price or exclude competitors. That is how that term is used here: a "monopolist" is a firm with significant and durable market power. Courts look at the firm's market share, but typically do not find monopoly power if the firm (or a group of firms acting in concert) has less than 50 percent of the sales of a particular product or service within a certain geographic area. Some courts have required much higher percentages. In addition, that leading position must be sustainable over time: if competitive forces or the entry of new firms could discipline the conduct of the leading firm, courts are unlikely to find that the firm has lasting market power. Exclusionary Conduct Judging the conduct of an alleged monopolist requires an in-depth analysis of the market and the means used to achieve or maintain the monopoly. Obtaining a monopoly by superior products, innovation, or business acumen is legal; however, the same result achieved by exclusionary or predatory acts may raise antitrust concerns. Exclusionary or predatory acts may include such things as exclusive supply or purchase agreements; tying; predatory pricing; or refusal to deal. These topics are discussed in separate Fact Sheets for Single Firm Conduct. Business Justification Finally, the monopolist may have a legitimate business justification for behaving in a way that prevents other firms from succeeding in the marketplace. For instance, the monopolist may be competing on the merits in a way that benefits consumers through greater efficiency or a unique set of products or services. In the end, courts will decide whether the monopolist's success is due to "the willful acquisition or maintenance of that power as distinguished from growth or development as a consequence of a superior product, business acumen, or historic accident." Sound familiar?

Let's start this off with how there should be legal reasoning as to why you need to be able to trash talk your previous employer. In 2009 I was injured in the military with a dislocated hip and refused medical treatment. When I came back civilian side the civilian doctors also refuse to treat me. So when I get asked why the previous employer let me go I need to 100% be allowed to trash talk my previous employer. I will not casually stand to the side and deal with this don't talk about your previous employer in a bad way because I wouldn't have been handicapped on my own accord To demand that I don't speak the truth about my previous employer and how they injured me and didn't take care of anything is only allowing our government to be tyrannical. The next on the table job I had was being a janitor at a church where the employer knew I was coming in injured and still allowed the other employees to bully me for not being Hercules. Nowhere in the Bible does it say one should be making six figures in order to have a child. As a matter of fact had the Lord looked at the Israelites as they were in the desert and said thou shalt not have children until you make six figures there would have been zero children to enter the promised Land. I reserve my rights to trash talk this employer and say that the whole reason why I quit was because the women that were employed there had this idea like I was somehow committing a crime for having a child and being a janitor If employers cannot take realistic criticism than our country will fall I will not be there to protect these losers when people start burning things down As a teenager I built pools above ground and underground for my stepdad who not only did he not pay me he would go home and tell my mom that I didn't work and use some biblical bulshit about how men who don't work don't deserve to eat when I was a fucking child To this day I am repetitively told that if I'm not willing to give my step dad's phone number so that he can lie about how I did or did not build pools that it means that I'm supposedly lying on a resume That if my stepdad didn't pay me for working a full day like a full-grown man that somehow it meant that I was being a child and refusing to work... I should have refused to work we have fucking child labor laws in this pathetic asshole country
