I do this everynight for 15 to 20 minutes before bed, many decades. At 70 years old never have any back pain, muscles cramps, knee discomfort and sleep 8 hours like a baby without a trip to bathroom.

I'm not always consistent when home, but always when I travel. For the last 15 years, I've done quite a bit of cross-country business travel. Striking this pose for 30 minutes helps me to decompress from the pressures of air travel, Ubers and hotels. It's so comfortable that I find myself in a quasi-meditative state.

This pose has done wonders for me. I’m not always able to lie on the floor to do it but on the days I can’t I do it in bed. I put my body up against my headboard making sure my bottom touches my headboard and lie there for 20 minutes. My legs feel so limber now and I can bend from the waist without any issues. It’s a game changer 🎉

I do this every night It's a game changer. Better sleep, deep relaxation, calmness, beautiful bowel movements right after waking up in the morning, better circulation, stronger immune system, you name it. I like to do it with a breathing exercise, deep breath in 5, hold for 1, to 2 secs, release long and slow in 8. 5-2-8 I recommend to anyone suffering from, poor sleep, digestion, fluid retention and inability to relax before sleep... it's a win, win, 100% success guarantee. All this sounds great and I'm happy for you. I suggest to skip holding your breath, as it interrupts the flow of your breath and causes unnecessary tension. Rather, take a deep breath slowly, and exhale slowly when your lungs are full. Let it be one fluid motion. Try it out and let me know what you think

I've noticed a considerable difference in a lot of things after doing this every day for only about a week. I had, what felt like, a pinched nerve in my left groin area and it's completely gone now. I had a nasty fall ice skating and was in constant agony for 12 hours straight until discovering this excercise just now. It has relieved the pain to non existant while legs are up.on wall. No pain killers or physio required! I also feel super relaxed. If you havent tried it get.....try it for yourself and see how magic it can be. Also love that is free!

This does wonders for anyone who is in recovery from addiction. I do it for 20-25 min daily. It has helped save my life and taught me so much about the mind body connection. I meditate during LUW, as well. It’s like I’ve recharged my entire system.

I just did this for the first time and I feel incredible. I went for around 12 min my first time. Somewhere midways I realized what you meant about the ( mind/body connection - I felt this state of joy and peace for a few minutes that I’m not sure I’ve ever felt on any drug before. I’ve been an addict my entire life. Around 12 years ago my wife had enough and got me into a suboxone doctor ( we didn’t know at the time it was just trading ) anyways I’m still on them but about to jump off them. I have jumped off before and used kratom to help for the first few weeks and worked great actually. The only reason I went back is blood pressure as dumb as that sounds. I forgot kratom is in the coffee family and I was drinking my usual soda ( and several Starbucks bottled coffees a day - and one night happened to check my blood pressure and it was through the roof. I assumed it was from the kratom but I believe now it was 100% the coffee and soda. So I quit the soda, now I’m fixing to try and jump off the suboxone again. Anyways I appreciate the post. Get water in your life! With lemon and Apple cider vinegar. Keep up the fight. Don’t give up! I left opioids going on four months now. Going through paws now but I don’t even care. It’s not fun but better than the hell I went through on Tramadol! Much love to you!

What a coincidence I saw this. Actually, even though I've just seen this now, I had begun 3 days ago starting out my day each morning by doing this for one hour. I have A LOT of health issues going on, and it is not the time for strenuous exercise or going to a gym. I am SHOCKED at the improvement in only 3 days. I've just seen a vein specialist and also last week, a surgeon. For some time, I've had a lot of pain for different reasons in my legs that has been getting rapidly worse lately. Nobody told me to do this. I just woke up the other morning and decided to do it everyday to see what happens. The results are mind-blowing!! 🙂🙂🙂

For your leg cramp you need to drink a lot of water.I use to have this now I don’t and for your tight hamstring do a lot of stretches with your legs.

I have been doing this position for more than a year and for my part, it does me a lot of good for the legs. At first I had trouble doing it for 15 minutes, but now I keep this position for 30 minutes easily. I noticed a better flexibility during my exercises. Another thing I found to help the circulation, all in regards to lymphedema, was lightly scrubbing my skin with a dry body exfoliating type brush. Dr. Alan Mandell, thanks again for your great healthcare lesson, which I think to be helpful for my mom because she feels sore and slightly numb persistently on the right side of his glutes and thighs and calves! I got this lifting of legs exercise through a friend. It does wonders. I suffered from hot feet at night and had to rub vicks on my feet every night for a relief. I diagnosed myself as neuropathy a b12 deficiency but since I started doing this I sleep now and my feet don't get that burning hot anymore. It even starting to flatten my stomach.Thanks God for this exercise it really works😊

I do this on days where I have been overworked and standing for long periods of time so much so that I can tell my legs are swollen. It never occurred to me it would help for other things. Will do it more often.

This pose is also great for the kind of upper back tension that comes with working long hours at a computer. I sometimes take a break with this pose during the day (I work at home) if the deadline tension gets too much.

I want to say thank you for what you do. I just tried this for the first time, and I feel absolutely WONDERFUL! My mind, my body, I’m not sure exactly what it does but it absolutely does something. This is life changing. I've been doing this for about a week now. My leg tension is finally gone For the past 6 years I've had incredibly tight hamstrings and calves that no amount of traditional stretching could do. Yet this exercise eliminated it overnight. I can't thank you enough for this video
